When it comes to upgrading your adventure touring machine, few modifications deliver the impact of premium yamaha performance superbike exhausts, and the Carbon Can Co Ltd system for the Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré 2010-2021 represents the perfect blend of engineering excellence and real-world practicality. Designed specifically for riders who demand both performance and reliability from their adventure motorcycle, this exhaust system transforms your Super Ténéré’s character whilst maintaining the dependability that Yamaha owners have come to expect.

Premium Yamaha Performance Superbike Exhausts for the XT1200Z Super Ténéré

The Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré has earned its reputation as one of the most capable adventure touring motorcycles on the market, combining long-distance comfort with genuine off-road capability. However, the standard exhaust system, whilst perfectly adequate, leaves significant room for improvement in terms of weight reduction, sound quality, and overall performance characteristics. Our exhaust system addresses these areas comprehensively, offering owners a straightforward upgrade path that requires no permanent modifications to their machine.

This complete exhaust package includes everything needed for a professional installation. You receive one precision-manufactured stainless 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipe, engineered to exact tolerances to ensure perfect fitment with your existing OEM downpipes. The mandrel bending process is crucial here – unlike crush-bent alternatives, mandrel bending maintains consistent internal diameter throughout the pipe’s length, eliminating flow restrictions and ensuring optimal exhaust gas evacuation. Additionally, the kit includes one stainless exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber, providing secure mounting that withstands the vibration and thermal cycling inherent to motorcycle exhaust systems.

Why Choose Carbon Can Co Ltd Yamaha Performance Superbike Exhausts?

The engineering philosophy behind our yamaha performance superbike exhausts centres on delivering measurable improvements without compromising the characteristics that make the Super Ténéré such a versatile machine. The use of 304-grade stainless steel ensures exceptional corrosion resistance – absolutely essential for adventure motorcycles that frequently encounter wet conditions, salt-laden coastal air, and the general environmental challenges of long-distance touring. This material choice guarantees that your exhaust system will maintain its structural integrity and appearance for years to come, even under demanding use.

Installation has been deliberately simplified to accommodate riders with varying levels of mechanical experience. The system is engineered to fit straight onto the standard OEM downpipes, eliminating the need for cutting, welding, or any permanent modifications to your motorcycle. This bolt-on design philosophy means the installation can typically be completed in a home garage with standard tools, though professional fitting is always available for those who prefer it. The reversibility of the modification also proves advantageous should you ever need to return the motorcycle to standard specification.

Performance Benefits and Sound Characteristics

Beyond the aesthetic improvements and weight savings, owners consistently report noticeable enhancements in throttle response and mid-range power delivery after fitting our exhaust systems. The optimised flow characteristics reduce back pressure, allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently throughout the rev range. Whilst dyno-proven power gains are modest – as expected with slip-on systems – the improvement in rideability and engine character proves far more significant in real-world riding conditions than raw horsepower figures might suggest.

The sound profile deserves special mention. Our exhaust produces a distinctly more purposeful note than the standard system, with a deeper, more characterful tone that enhances the riding experience without becoming intrusive during long motorway stretches. We’ve carefully balanced volume and tone to create an exhaust note that sounds thoroughly engaging when you’re enjoying spirited riding, yet remains civil enough for early morning departures and noise-sensitive environments. You can experience this for yourself by watching our demonstration video at https://youtu.be/DLanNGtKKSE, which showcases the exhaust’s sound characteristics across various engine speeds and load conditions.

Quality Manufacturing Standards for Yamaha Performance Superbike Exhausts

Every component in this exhaust system undergoes rigorous quality control before leaving our facility. The CNC mandrel bending process ensures consistent quality across every unit we produce, eliminating the variations often found in hand-fabricated systems. Welds are completed to aerospace standards, providing strength that exceeds the stresses encountered during even the most demanding off-road adventures. The mirror-polished finish on the stainless components not only looks exceptional but also facilitates easier cleaning and maintenance throughout the system’s service life.

For riders exploring our complete range of Yamaha upgrades, we also offer premium systems for other models in the Yamaha adventure lineup, including the popular Yamaha Ténéré 700 T7 Hi Level exhaust system, which shares the same engineering philosophy and quality standards. This consistency across our product range means Yamaha owners can trust Carbon Can Co Ltd for exhaust solutions regardless of which model they ride.

Technical Specifications and Fitment Details

This exhaust system specifically suits Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré motorcycles manufactured between 2010 and 2021, covering the entire production run of this generation. The comprehensive year range coverage ensures that whether you own an early model or a later version, you’ll benefit from the same precise fitment and performance characteristics. Before installation, we recommend inspecting your existing OEM downpipes for any damage or excessive corrosion, as the condition of these components directly affects the security and longevity of the new exhaust system.

The stainless exhaust strap and accompanying rubber mount provide vibration isolation whilst maintaining secure attachment throughout the system’s operating temperature range. These components may seem minor, but they play crucial roles in preventing stress fractures and ensuring quiet operation free from rattles or unwanted resonances. We’ve selected materials and specifications based on extensive real-world testing, including extended adventure tours across varied terrain and environmental conditions.
