At Carbon Can Co Ltd, we understand that enthusiasts demand nothing less than perfection when it comes to aftermarket exhaust components. Our Yamaha 700 Raptor exhaust system has been carefully designed to provide a direct replacement solution that enhances throttle response, reduces back pressure, and produces an aggressive yet refined exhaust note that turns heads wherever you ride.

Premium Components for Yamaha Performance Superbike Exhausts

This complete exhaust package includes everything required for a professional installation. Each kit comprises one stainless steel 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipe, meticulously crafted to ensure smooth exhaust gas flow without restrictive bends or welds that could impede performance. The mandrel bending process maintains consistent internal diameter throughout the pipe, a critical factor in maximising exhaust efficiency and power delivery.

Alongside the link pipe, you’ll receive one stainless steel exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber mount. These mounting components are essential for secure fitment and help to minimise unwanted vibration whilst ensuring the exhaust remains firmly positioned during spirited riding. The stainless steel construction guarantees corrosion resistance and longevity, even when exposed to the harsh conditions that quad bikes frequently encounter.

One of the standout features of this system is its compatibility with standard OEM downpipes. This means you won’t need to invest in additional components or undertake complex modifications to your Raptor. The exhaust is engineered to fit straight onto your existing factory downpipes, making installation straightforward for both professional mechanics and competent home enthusiasts alike.

Why Choose These Yamaha Performance Superbike Exhausts for Your Raptor 700

The Yamaha 700 Raptor has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the most capable sport quad bikes ever produced. From 2006 through to 2016, this model remained largely unchanged, a testament to Yamaha’s exceptional initial design. However, even the best factory exhaust systems represent a compromise between cost, noise regulations, and performance. An aftermarket exhaust removes these restrictions, unlocking the true potential of your Raptor’s powerful engine.

Our exhaust system delivers several tangible benefits. Firstly, you’ll notice improved throttle response across the rev range. The reduced back pressure allows the engine to breathe more efficiently, particularly beneficial at higher RPMs where restrictive factory exhausts can choke performance. Secondly, the weight saving compared to the standard exhaust contributes to better handling characteristics and improved power-to-weight ratio. Thirdly, the distinctive exhaust note provides audible feedback that enhances the riding experience without being antisocially loud.

For riders who appreciate quality engineering, the mandrel bent construction is particularly significant. Unlike crush-bent pipes which can create turbulence and restriction points, mandrel bending preserves the pipe’s internal diameter throughout every curve. This results in laminar flow characteristics that maximise scavenging efficiency and reduce pumping losses. According to research published by SAE International, properly designed exhaust systems can improve engine efficiency by up to 5% whilst simultaneously reducing unwanted emissions.

Installation and Fitment of Yamaha Performance Superbike Exhausts

Installing this exhaust system on your Yamaha 700 Raptor 2006-2016 is remarkably straightforward. The direct-fit design means you simply remove your existing exhaust canister and link pipe, then bolt the new components into place using the supplied mounting hardware. The stainless steel exhaust strap secures the canister firmly, whilst the rubber mount absorbs vibration and allows for thermal expansion during operation.

Before beginning installation, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the mounting points on your OEM downpipes to ensure proper sealing and alignment. A small amount of high-temperature copper grease on the joint can facilitate easier removal in future and help prevent corrosion. Ensure all mounting bolts are tightened to the manufacturer’s specified torque settings, and always check for exhaust leaks after the first few rides.

You can watch our detailed installation video on our YouTube channel, which demonstrates the complete fitting process step-by-step. This visual guide complements the written instructions and helps to clarify any questions you might have about the installation procedure.

Complementary Products and System Upgrades

Whilst this exhaust delivers impressive performance improvements on its own, many Raptor 700 owners choose to combine it with additional modifications for even greater gains. Carbon Can Co Ltd offers an extensive range of exhaust systems for various Yamaha models. If you’re interested in exploring other options within our collection, you might consider our Yamaha Ténéré 700 T7 Hi Level exhaust system or our Yamaha YZF-R125 2014-2020 performance exhaust, both of which demonstrate our commitment to quality across the entire Yamaha range.

For optimal results, consider pairing your new exhaust with a proper fuel management solution or ECU remap. The improved exhaust flow characteristics may require minor fuelling adjustments to achieve perfect air-fuel ratios throughout the rev range. Many riders also opt for aftermarket air filters to complement the exhaust upgrade, creating a balanced intake and exhaust system that maximises performance potential.

Durability and Long-Term Performance

The stainless steel 304 grade construction ensures your investment will withstand years of demanding use. This particular grade of stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance whilst maintaining structural integrity under thermal cycling. Unlike mild steel exhausts which can rust through within a season or two, quality stainless systems maintain their appearance and performance characteristics for many years.

Regular maintenance is minimal but important. Periodically inspect mounting points for tightness, particularly after the first few heat cycles when components may settle. Check the exhaust strap rubber for signs of deterioration, as rubber components naturally age over time. Keeping the exterior clean not only maintains aesthetics but also allows you to spot potential issues such as cracks or loose fittings before they become problematic.
