If you’re looking to upgrade your adventure bike with top-quality suzuki performance superbike exhausts, the Carbon Can Co exhaust system for the Suzuki DL1000 VSTROM 2002-2013 delivers exceptional performance, weight savings, and that distinctive deep exhaust note riders demand. Engineered specifically for the DL1000 V-Strom models spanning over a decade of production, this exhaust system represents the perfect blend of form, function, and value for adventure touring enthusiasts who refuse to compromise on quality.

Premium Suzuki Performance Superbike Exhausts Engineered for the DL1000 V-Strom

The Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom has earned its reputation as one of the most capable adventure touring motorcycles on the market, combining reliable V-twin power with exceptional versatility. To unlock the full potential of this legendary machine, Carbon Can Co has developed a comprehensive exhaust solution that transforms both the performance characteristics and acoustic signature of your bike. This complete system includes precision-engineered components designed for straightforward installation and long-term durability in all riding conditions.

Each exhaust system comes complete with two stainless steel 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipes that ensure optimal exhaust flow without the restrictions found in standard crush-bent pipes. The mandrel bending process maintains consistent internal diameter throughout each bend, eliminating turbulence and back-pressure that can rob your engine of power. These link pipes are manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring a perfect fit to your standard OEM downpipes without requiring any modifications to your motorcycle.

The package also includes two stainless steel exhaust straps and two exhaust strap rubbers, providing secure mounting whilst isolating vibration to prevent stress fractures and unwanted resonance. This attention to mounting detail reflects Carbon Can Co’s understanding that a premium exhaust system must perform flawlessly mile after mile, whether you’re commuting through town or tackling challenging off-road terrain.

Why Choose Carbon Can Co Suzuki Performance Superbike Exhausts for Your V-Strom

Carbon Can Co has built its reputation on delivering suzuki performance superbike exhausts that meet the exacting standards of serious riders. When you invest in this exhaust system for your DL1000 V-Strom, you’re choosing a product backed by years of research, development, and real-world testing. The company’s commitment to quality is evident in every component, from the grade of stainless steel selected to the precision of the welding and finishing processes.

One of the most significant advantages of this exhaust system is the substantial weight reduction compared to the factory equipment. The standard exhaust system on the DL1000 V-Strom prioritises cost efficiency and regulatory compliance over performance, resulting in a heavy, restrictive design. By replacing these components with Carbon Can Co’s lightweight alternatives, you’ll immediately notice improved handling characteristics, particularly when navigating technical sections or maneuvering at low speeds. This weight savings also contributes to slightly improved fuel efficiency and reduced unsprung mass.

The acoustic enhancement provided by these exhausts deserves special mention. Adventure bike riders appreciate a deeper, more purposeful exhaust note that reflects their machine’s capabilities without becoming antisocially loud. The Carbon Can Co system strikes this balance perfectly, delivering a rich V-twin rumble that enhances the riding experience whilst remaining considerate of noise regulations and fellow road users. You can hear a demonstration of the exhaust note in the YouTube video link provided with the product listing.

Installation and Compatibility of These Suzuki Performance Superbike Exhausts

One of the most appealing aspects of this exhaust system is the straightforward installation process. The system has been engineered to fit directly to the standard OEM downpipes on all Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom models manufactured between 2002 and 2013. This plug-and-play compatibility means you won’t need to invest in additional adapters or make permanent modifications to your motorcycle. For mechanically competent riders with basic tools, installation can typically be completed in an afternoon, though professional fitting is always recommended if you’re not confident working on exhaust systems.

The included stainless steel straps and rubbers provide a secure, vibration-isolated mounting solution that has been tested under demanding conditions. Proper installation ensures that the exhaust cans remain securely positioned regardless of riding style or terrain, from smooth tarmac to challenging gravel tracks. The mounting system allows for thermal expansion whilst maintaining alignment, preventing the stress cracks and mounting failures that can occur with poorly designed aftermarket systems.

Performance Benefits and Technical Specifications

Upgrading to high-quality suzuki performance superbike exhausts delivers measurable benefits across multiple performance parameters. The improved exhaust flow characteristics reduce back-pressure, allowing the 996cc V-twin engine to breathe more efficiently throughout the rev range. Riders typically report crisper throttle response, particularly in the mid-range where adventure bikes spend most of their operating time. This enhanced responsiveness translates to more confidence-inspiring overtaking performance and better engine braking characteristics on descents.

The stainless steel 304 construction offers exceptional corrosion resistance, crucial for adventure bikes that frequently encounter harsh weather conditions, road salt, and muddy terrain. Unlike mild steel exhausts that can rust through within a few seasons, properly maintained stainless systems can last the lifetime of your motorcycle. The CNC mandrel bent construction ensures that wall thickness remains consistent throughout the pipes, eliminating weak points whilst optimising gas flow dynamics.

Carbon Can Co’s expertise extends across the entire Suzuki performance range, with similar exhaust solutions available for models including the SUZUKI GSXR1000 K7 K8 2007 – 2008 and the SUZUKI GSX1300R HAYABUSA 2021- GEN 3. Riders of newer V-Strom models can explore the SUZUKI DL1050 VSTROM 2020 – 2021 exhaust options to achieve similar performance enhancements.

Maintenance and Long-Term Care

Maintaining your new exhaust system requires minimal effort whilst delivering maximum longevity. Regular visual inspections should check for secure mounting, proper alignment, and any signs of heat discolouration or damage. The stainless steel construction can be cleaned with appropriate stainless steel cleaners to maintain its attractive appearance, particularly important after riding in salty or corrosive conditions. Periodically checking the tightness of mounting hardware ensures continued secure fitment, though the quality of Carbon Can Co’s components means loosening is rarely an issue.

Specifically, two changes detailed below:

Road Legal Exhausts: Our road legal exhausts will have the BSAU stamped markings and be crafted with non-removable baffles, aligning seamlessly with the standards set by ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers). These baffles are an integral part of our design to ensure that your motorcycle exhaust complies with road regulations, providing you with a legal and enjoyable riding experience.
