If you’re searching for high-quality suzuki performance superbike exhausts to transform your classic V-twin, the Carbon Can Co Ltd system for the Suzuki SV650 1998-2002 delivers exceptional performance, sound, and build quality. Designed specifically for this iconic middleweight motorcycle, our exhaust system offers riders a cost-effective upgrade that enhances both aesthetics and engine efficiency without compromising reliability or requiring complex modifications.

Premium Suzuki Performance Superbike Exhausts for the SV650 1998-2002

The Suzuki SV650 remains one of the most beloved motorcycles in modern motorcycling history, renowned for its nimble handling, torquey V-twin engine, and accessibility for riders of all experience levels. Whether you’re using your SV650 for spirited weekend rides, track days, or daily commuting, upgrading to a performance exhaust system is one of the most rewarding modifications you can make. Our exhaust is engineered to work seamlessly with the standard OEM downpipes, making installation straightforward and hassle-free for home mechanics and professional workshops alike.

This complete exhaust package includes everything you need for a professional installation. You receive one precision-engineered stainless 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipe, which ensures smooth exhaust gas flow and maximum performance gains. The mandrel bending process maintains consistent internal diameter throughout the pipe’s curves, eliminating the restrictions found in cheaper crush-bent alternatives. Additionally, the kit includes one stainless exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber, providing secure mounting that withstands vibration and thermal expansion over thousands of miles.

Why Choose Carbon Can Co Suzuki Performance Superbike Exhausts?

Carbon Can Co Ltd has built a reputation for manufacturing premium motorcycle exhaust systems that combine race-proven design with exceptional value. Our suzuki performance superbike exhausts are crafted from high-grade stainless steel 304, chosen specifically for its corrosion resistance, durability, and ability to withstand extreme temperatures. Unlike mild steel systems that quickly rust and deteriorate, especially in the British climate, our stainless construction ensures your investment maintains its appearance and performance for years to come.

The CNC mandrel bent link pipe represents the pinnacle of exhaust fabrication technology. By using computer-controlled machinery to bend the tubing, we achieve precise angles and radii that optimise exhaust gas velocity whilst maintaining structural integrity. This manufacturing approach is significantly superior to the traditional crush-bending methods used by budget manufacturers, where the pipe is deformed during bending, creating internal restrictions that hamper performance and create turbulence.

Installation is remarkably straightforward because this exhaust is made to fit straight to the standard OEM downpipes. There’s no need for expensive remapping or fuel system modifications, though many riders do choose to optimize their fuelling afterwards to extract maximum performance. The bolt-on nature of this system means you can complete the installation in your home garage with basic hand tools, typically in under an hour.

Performance Benefits of Suzuki Performance Superbike Exhausts

Upgrading to our performance exhaust system delivers noticeable improvements across the rev range. The reduced back pressure compared to the restrictive standard silencer allows the SV650’s V-twin engine to breathe more freely, resulting in improved throttle response and enhanced power delivery, particularly in the mid-range where the SV650 engine naturally excels. Riders typically report crisper acceleration, a more responsive feel at the throttle, and a deeper, more satisfying exhaust note that showcases the characterful burble of the 90-degree V-twin configuration.

Weight reduction is another significant advantage. The standard exhaust system on the 1998-2002 SV650 is considerably heavier than necessary, and shedding unnecessary kilograms from the rear of the motorcycle improves handling dynamics, reduces unsprung mass, and makes the bike feel more agile through corners. Every gram saved contributes to better performance and rider enjoyment.

The enhanced exhaust note deserves special mention. Whilst the standard SV650 silencer produces a muted, somewhat characterless sound, our performance system unleashes the true voice of the V-twin engine. The result is a deep, throaty tone that’s pleasingly aggressive under acceleration yet remains civilised during cruising. You can experience the sound quality for yourself by watching our demonstration video at https://youtu.be/DLanNGtKKSE, where you’ll hear the exhaust in action and see the quality of the finish.

Installation and Maintenance of Your New Exhaust System

The installation process for our suzuki performance superbike exhausts designed for the SV650 1998-2002 is straightforward and well within the capabilities of most home mechanics. Begin by ensuring the motorcycle is securely supported on a paddock stand or centre stand, and allow the engine to cool completely if it has been recently run. Remove the original silencer by loosening the clamp at the collector box and detaching the mounting bracket. The new system slides directly onto the existing downpipes, secured with the provided stainless exhaust strap. The exhaust strap rubber should be positioned correctly to allow for thermal expansion whilst preventing rattles.

After installation, it’s advisable to check all connections after the first few rides, as heat cycles can sometimes cause slight settling. Retightening the clamp ensures a secure, leak-free seal. Maintenance is minimal thanks to the stainless steel construction—occasional cleaning with appropriate stainless steel cleaner will maintain the lustrous appearance, whilst the robust construction ensures longevity.
