When it comes to upgrading your KTM 690 DUKE 2012-, few modifications deliver the impact and satisfaction of fitting premium ktm performance superbike exhausts that transform both sound and aesthetics. Carbon Can Co Ltd has engineered this exhaust system specifically for riders who demand quality, performance, and that distinctive deep tone that announces your presence on the road. Designed with precision and manufactured from the finest materials, this exhaust represents the perfect balance between street-legal refinement and race-inspired aggression.

Premium KTM Performance Superbike Exhausts Engineered for the 690 DUKE

This meticulously crafted motorbike exhaust system has been designed exclusively for the KTM 690 DUKE 2012 onwards models, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance gains. The comprehensive kit includes everything you need for a straightforward installation: one precision-engineered stainless 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipe, one robust stainless steel exhaust strap, and one exhaust strap rubber mount. Each component has been manufactured to exacting standards, guaranteeing longevity and performance that withstands the rigours of both daily commuting and spirited weekend riding.

The stainless steel 304 construction offers exceptional corrosion resistance, maintaining its lustrous appearance even after years of exposure to the elements. Unlike inferior mild steel systems that rust and deteriorate, this premium material choice ensures your investment continues to look and perform brilliantly season after season. The CNC mandrel bent link pipe maintains consistent internal diameter throughout all bends, promoting smooth exhaust gas flow and preventing the restrictive turbulence that plague crush-bent alternatives.

Direct Fitment to OEM Downpipes Makes Installation Straightforward

One of the standout features of these ktm performance superbike exhausts is the plug-and-play compatibility with your standard OEM downpipes. This exhaust system has been designed to fit straight onto the factory-fitted downpipes without requiring any modifications, cutting, or welding. For riders who appreciate quality engineering but prefer not to undertake major mechanical modifications, this direct-fit approach offers the perfect solution. The installation process is remarkably straightforward, typically requiring only basic tools and moderate mechanical aptitude.

The included stainless exhaust strap and rubber mount ensure secure, vibration-dampened mounting that prevents unwanted movement whilst allowing for thermal expansion. This attention to detail in the mounting hardware reflects Carbon Can Co’s commitment to delivering complete, thoughtfully designed exhaust solutions rather than requiring customers to source additional components separately. The secure mounting system also helps to minimise stress on connection points, extending the service life of both the exhaust and your motorcycle’s original equipment.

Why Choose Premium KTM Performance Superbike Exhausts for Your 690 DUKE?

The benefits of upgrading to a quality aftermarket exhaust system extend far beyond aesthetic appeal, though the visual transformation is undeniably striking. Performance gains, weight reduction, and sound enhancement combine to fundamentally improve your riding experience. The mandrel-bent construction optimises exhaust gas flow, potentially unlocking additional horsepower and torque across the rev range. Whilst significant power gains typically require complementary modifications and ECU mapping, even a standalone exhaust upgrade often delivers noticeable improvements in throttle response and mid-range punch.

Weight savings represent another compelling advantage. Aftermarket exhaust systems typically weigh considerably less than restrictive factory units designed primarily to meet noise regulations and cost targets. Reducing unsprung and overall weight, particularly from the rear of the motorcycle, sharpens handling characteristics and makes the bike feel more responsive and agile through corners. For track day enthusiasts and canyon carvers alike, this enhanced manoeuvrability proves immediately noticeable.

The acoustic transformation may be the most immediately gratifying aspect of fitting quality ktm performance superbike exhausts. The deep, purposeful exhaust note perfectly complements the KTM 690 DUKE’s sporting character, replacing the muffled factory sound with a more engaging auditory experience that enhances rider connection with the machine. The note remains civilised enough for everyday use whilst delivering that satisfying growl when you open the throttle.

Understanding the Engineering Behind High-Quality Motorcycle Exhausts

Carbon Can Co Ltd employs precision CNC mandrel bending technology to manufacture link pipes that maintain consistent internal diameter throughout every curve. This manufacturing approach stands in stark contrast to crush bending, where pipes are mechanically deformed, creating internal restrictions that impede exhaust flow. The smooth, unrestricted flow path in mandrel-bent systems allows exhaust gases to exit more efficiently, reducing back pressure and potentially improving engine breathing.

Material selection plays an equally crucial role in exhaust performance and longevity. Stainless steel 304 offers an excellent balance of properties: sufficient heat resistance for exhaust applications, outstanding corrosion resistance in all weather conditions, and an attractive appearance that requires minimal maintenance. This grade of stainless steel maintains its structural integrity through countless heat cycles, resisting the warping and cracking that can affect lesser materials.

If you’re exploring exhaust upgrades for other KTM models in your garage, Carbon Can Co offers an extensive range. The KTM 390 Duke 2019- system delivers similar quality engineering for smaller displacement machines, whilst adventure riders might appreciate the KTM 790 Adventurer 2019-2020 exhaust designed specifically for dual-sport applications.

Installation Guidance and Maintenance for Your Performance Exhaust

Whilst installation remains straightforward for mechanically competent owners, always ensure your motorcycle is securely supported and completely cool before commencing work. Allow several hours after riding for exhaust components to cool sufficiently. The included YouTube video demonstration provides valuable visual guidance throughout the installation process, showing precisely how components fit together and highlighting important considerations.

Periodic maintenance helps preserve the appearance and performance of your exhaust system. Regular inspection of mounting hardware ensures everything remains securely fastened, preventing potentially damaging vibration or movement. A simple wipe-down with appropriate stainless steel cleaner maintains the lustrous appearance, whilst checking for any signs of unusual discolouration can provide early warning of fuelling issues or other mechanical concerns.
