These high-quality aftermarket exhausts deliver exceptional performance gains, enhanced sound characteristics, and striking aesthetics that will transform your supermoto experience. Manufactured from premium materials and designed with precision fitment in mind, our exhausts represent the perfect balance between race-proven performance and everyday practicality for your KTM SM 950.

Why Choose Our KTM Performance Superbike Exhausts for Your SM 950

The KTM SM 950 is a legendary supermoto that deserves an exhaust system worthy of its reputation. Our ktm performance superbike exhausts are meticulously crafted to unlock the full potential of your machine’s V-twin powerplant. The stock exhaust system on the 2005-2007 SM 950 models was designed with strict emissions regulations and noise restrictions in mind, which inevitably compromises performance and that distinctive KTM sound character that riders crave.

Our performance exhaust system addresses these limitations head-on. By optimising exhaust gas flow and reducing back pressure, you’ll experience noticeable improvements in throttle response throughout the rev range. The mid-range punch that makes the SM 950 such a thrilling supermoto becomes even more pronounced, whilst top-end power delivery remains smooth and progressive. Riders consistently report improved engine breathing, reduced heat build-up around the engine bay, and a more engaging riding experience overall.

Complete Fitting Kit for KTM Performance Superbike Exhausts

We understand that purchasing aftermarket components should be a straightforward experience, which is why our ktm performance superbike exhausts come complete with everything you need for installation. Each exhaust system includes a comprehensive fitting kit designed specifically for the KTM SM 950 2005 – 2007 models:

  • 3-bolt fitting arrangement for secure, vibration-resistant mounting
  • 2 x premium stainless steel exhaust straps for long-lasting durability
  • 2 x high-quality exhaust strap rubbers to absorb vibration and prevent metal-to-metal contact
  • All necessary hardware for a complete installation

The exhaust is manufactured to fit directly onto your standard OEM downpipes, eliminating the need for expensive modifications or custom fabrication work. This direct-fit design means you can enjoy the benefits of a performance exhaust without the complexity and expense of a full system replacement. The bolt-on nature of the installation makes it accessible for home mechanics with basic tools, though professional fitting is always recommended if you’re not confident working on exhaust systems.

Premium Construction and Materials in Our KTM Performance Superbike Exhausts

Quality construction is paramount when it comes to exhaust systems, and our ktm performance superbike exhausts are built to withstand the rigours of spirited riding. The stainless steel straps provide exceptional corrosion resistance, ensuring your exhaust remains securely mounted even after years of exposure to the elements. British weather can be particularly harsh on motorcycle components, so we’ve selected materials that will maintain their integrity through rain, salt, and temperature extremes.

The exhaust body itself is constructed using advanced manufacturing techniques that ensure consistent wall thickness and optimal acoustic properties. This attention to detail results in a product that not only performs exceptionally but also produces that distinctive deep, throaty note that performance enthusiasts demand. The sound is aggressive without being antisocial – perfect for spirited weekend rides or trackday use whilst remaining neighbourly enough for daily commuting.

Performance Benefits and Technical Specifications

When you install our exhaust system on your KTM SM 950, you’re not just changing the sound – you’re fundamentally improving how your motorcycle performs. The reduced weight compared to the stock system contributes to improved handling characteristics, particularly noticeable when changing direction quickly or riding aggressively through twisty roads. Every kilogram saved makes a difference on a supermoto, where agility and responsiveness are paramount.

The optimised exhaust flow characteristics work in harmony with your engine’s combustion cycle, allowing spent gases to exit more efficiently. This improved scavenging effect helps draw fresh fuel-air mixture into the cylinders more effectively, contributing to the noticeable power gains riders experience. Whilst we always recommend professional dyno tuning to maximise results, many riders report satisfying performance improvements even without remapping, though adjusting your fuel injection settings will unlock the full potential of the modification.

For KTM enthusiasts looking to upgrade other models in their garage, we also offer performance exhausts for the KTM 990 Adventurer 2006-2013, ensuring your entire fleet can benefit from the same quality and performance standards.

Installation Tips and Compatibility

The beauty of our exhaust system lies in its straightforward installation process. The 3-bolt fitting arrangement provides multiple contact points for secure mounting, distributing loads evenly and preventing the stress concentrations that can lead to cracking or loosening over time. Before installation, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the mounting points on your OEM downpipes and inspecting the exhaust rubbers for any signs of deterioration.

Always allow your motorcycle to cool completely before attempting any exhaust work – working with hot exhaust components is dangerous and can result in serious burns. Apply a small amount of copper-based anti-seize compound to the bolt threads to prevent corrosion and make future removal easier. Torque all fasteners to the manufacturer’s specifications, and re-check them after your first few rides as thermal cycling can cause slight settling.

If you’re building a comprehensive KTM collection, you might also be interested in our KTM 390 Duke 2019- motorcycle exhaust, which brings the same performance philosophy to KTM’s popular single-cylinder platform.

The acoustic signature of our exhaust has been carefully developed to deliver that quintessential performance sound without excessive volume levels. We understand that riders want their motorcycles to sound purposeful and exciting, but not at the expense of attracting unwanted attention from law enforcement or disturbing the peace. Our design strikes this balance admirably, providing a rich, deep exhaust note that emphasises the characterful beat of the LC8 V-twin engine.

Riders should always be aware of local noise regulations and testing procedures. Whilst our exhausts are designed with reasonable sound levels in mind, regulations vary by region and it’s your responsibility to ensure compliance with applicable laws. For more detailed information about motorcycle exhaust regulations and testing procedures in the UK, consult the official government guidance on motorcycle exhaust noise levels.
