When searching for suzuki performance superbike exhausts that deliver exceptional sound, weight savings, and style, the Suzuki SV1000 2003-2007 carbon fibre exhaust from Carbon Can Co Ltd stands out as a premium aftermarket solution. Designed specifically for the SV1000 V-twin sportbike, this exhaust system transforms your riding experience with its race-inspired engineering and stunning visual appeal.

Premium Suzuki Performance Superbike Exhausts for the SV1000

The Suzuki SV1000, produced from 2003 to 2007, remains a beloved machine among V-twin enthusiasts who appreciate its characterful engine and agile handling. Our carbon fibre exhaust system has been meticulously engineered to complement the SV1000’s sporty nature whilst providing tangible performance benefits. This exhaust features a robust 4 bolt-on fitting system that ensures secure attachment and hassle-free installation, making it accessible even for home mechanics with moderate experience.

Each exhaust kit includes 2 x stainless steel exhaust straps and 2 x exhaust strap rubbers, providing all the essential mounting hardware you need for a complete installation. The stainless steel straps offer exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, ensuring your exhaust remains securely mounted through all weather conditions and riding scenarios. The high-quality exhaust strap rubbers effectively dampen vibration, protecting both the exhaust and your motorcycle’s subframe from stress and wear.

Direct Fit Design: Suzuki Performance Superbike Exhausts Made Simple

One of the most significant advantages of this exhaust system is its direct-fit design. The exhaust is made to fit straight to the standard OEM downpipes without requiring any modification, cutting, or welding. This plug-and-play approach means you can transform your SV1000’s exhaust note and appearance in under an hour, with no need for specialist tools or professional installation. The compatibility with stock downpipes also means you can retain your catalytic converter if required for emissions compliance in your region, or upgrade to aftermarket headers for maximum performance gains.

The carbon fibre construction delivers substantial weight savings compared to the factory steel exhaust system. Reducing unsprung and rear-end weight improves handling characteristics, making your SV1000 feel more nimble through corners and more responsive to throttle inputs. The high-grade carbon fibre weave is finished with a UV-resistant clear coat that maintains its lustrous appearance for years, resisting the yellowing and degradation that affects lower-quality carbon products.

Performance Benefits of Quality Suzuki Performance Superbike Exhausts

Beyond aesthetics and weight reduction, this exhaust system enhances your SV1000’s performance characteristics. The carefully calculated internal diameter and taper optimise exhaust gas flow, reducing back pressure and allowing the V-twin engine to breathe more freely. Riders typically report improved throttle response, particularly in the mid-range where the SV1000’s torquey character truly shines. The deep, resonant exhaust note emphasises the V-twin’s distinctive character without becoming intrusive or antisocial – perfect for spirited road riding whilst maintaining good neighbour relations.

For riders seeking suzuki performance superbike exhausts across the range, Carbon Can Co Ltd offers solutions for various models, including the SUZUKI GSXR1000 K7 K8 2007 – 2008 and the legendary SUZUKI GSX1300R HAYABUSA 2021- GEN 3, ensuring consistency in quality and fitment across the Suzuki lineup.

Installation and Maintenance Considerations

Installing your new carbon fibre exhaust is straightforward. We recommend applying copper-based anti-seize compound to all mounting bolts to facilitate future removal and prevent seizure. Ensure all mounting rubbers are in good condition and properly seated before final tightening. After the first ride, check all mounting bolts for tightness as thermal cycling can cause initial settling. Regular inspection of mounting hardware and occasional cleaning with appropriate carbon-safe products will keep your exhaust looking pristine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this exhaust pass MOT testing?
The exhaust itself is well-constructed and durable, though sound levels depend on your complete exhaust system configuration. When used with standard downpipes and catalysts, most riders report no issues with MOT sound testing.

Do I need to remap my SV1000 after fitting this exhaust?
Whilst not strictly necessary when retaining standard downpipes, a custom remap or fuel controller can optimise fuelling to take full advantage of the improved exhaust flow, particularly if you’ve made other intake or engine modifications.

Is the carbon fibre finish durable?
Yes, our UV-stabilised clear coat protects the carbon weave from sun damage and maintains its appearance through years of use. Regular cleaning with pH-neutral products will keep it looking showroom-fresh.

Specifically, two changes detailed below:

Road Legal Exhausts: Our road legal exhausts will have the BSAU stamped markings and be crafted with non-removable baffles, aligning seamlessly with the standards set by ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers). These baffles are an integral part of our design to ensure that your motorcycle exhaust complies with road regulations, providing you with a legal and enjoyable riding experience.

Clearly marked with type approval markings “Not for Road Use” etched into the side, these exhausts are specifically designed for racing applications.
