When it comes to upgrading your Aprilia RSV TUONO 1000R or Factory model from 2006 to 2010, choosing the right aprilia performance superbike exhausts can transform both the sound and performance of your Italian V-twin masterpiece. Carbon Can Co Ltd has engineered a premium exhaust system specifically designed to unleash the full potential of this iconic naked sportbike whilst maintaining reliability and ease of installation.

Premium Aprilia Performance Superbike Exhausts for Your RSV TUONO 1000R

The Aprilia RSV TUONO 1000R represents one of the most exhilarating motorcycles ever produced, combining superbike performance with naked bike practicality. To match this engineering excellence, our exhaust system has been precision-manufactured using the finest materials and cutting-edge fabrication techniques. Each system is built to exacting standards, ensuring a perfect fit to your motorcycle’s standard OEM downpipes without the need for complicated modifications or additional fabrication work.

This comprehensive exhaust kit includes everything needed for a straightforward installation. You receive two CNC mandrel-bent link pipes crafted from high-grade Stainless 304 steel, ensuring exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. The mandrel bending process maintains consistent internal diameter throughout each bend, eliminating the restrictions found in crush-bent alternatives and maximising exhaust gas flow for optimum performance gains. Additionally, the kit includes two stainless steel exhaust straps and two exhaust strap rubbers, providing secure mounting whilst allowing for the natural expansion and contraction that occurs during heat cycles.

Engineering Excellence in Aprilia Performance Superbike Exhausts

Our exhausts are manufactured with a clear objective: to deliver maximum power without necessitating alterations to your fuel mapping. This plug-and-play approach means that riders using standard air filtration can install these exhausts and immediately enjoy enhanced performance, a more aggressive exhaust note, and reduced weight compared to the factory system. The engineering team at Carbon Can Co Ltd has invested considerable development time in perfecting the internal geometry and silencer packing to achieve this balance between performance, sound quality, and compatibility with standard ECU mapping.

However, if you’ve already enhanced your TUONO with an aftermarket air filter or removed the catalytic converter, you may wish to consider professional remapping to extract every last horsepower. The improved breathing characteristics these aprilia performance superbike exhausts provide work synergistically with intake modifications, allowing your 998cc V-twin engine to breathe more freely across the entire rev range. The result is sharper throttle response, stronger mid-range torque, and more aggressive top-end power delivery that truly does justice to the RSV TUONO’s superbike heritage.

What Makes These Aprilia Performance Superbike Exhausts Stand Out

The attention to detail in these exhausts extends beyond mere performance figures. The fit and finish represent professional-grade quality, with each weld inspected to ensure structural integrity and visual appeal. The Stainless 304 construction not only provides excellent corrosion resistance but also develops an attractive patina over time, particularly on models that see regular enthusiastic use. Unlike mild steel alternatives that quickly rust or coated systems where the finish eventually fails, stainless steel offers genuinely long-term durability.

Installation is refreshingly straightforward for anyone with basic mechanical competence. The system is designed to fit directly to your standard OEM downpipes using the original equipment springs—we recommend reusing your existing springs as they’re specifically tensioned for secure fitment. The included link pipes have been precisely manufactured to match OEM mounting points, eliminating the frustration of ill-fitting aftermarket components that require unwelcome modification. Most competent home mechanics can complete the installation in a couple of hours with standard workshop tools.

Performance Benefits and Sound Characteristics

Beyond the technical specifications, what truly matters is how these exhausts transform your riding experience. The weight saving compared to the restrictive factory system contributes to improved handling characteristics, particularly noticeable during rapid direction changes. The reduced mass at the rear of the motorcycle subtly sharpens the TUONO’s already impressive agility, making it even more responsive through twisty roads and canyon carving.

The acoustic improvement is equally significant. Where the standard exhausts muffle the glorious sound of the Aprilia V-twin, our system releases a purposeful, deep exhaust note that announces your presence without becoming antisocially loud. The sound perfectly complements the character of the RSV TUONO—aggressive when you’re enjoying the performance, yet civilised enough for everyday riding and early morning starts. It’s this balance that makes our aprilia performance superbike exhausts suitable for both track day enthusiasts and daily riders alike.

Compatibility Across the RSV TUONO Range

This exhaust system has been specifically engineered for both the standard RSV TUONO 1000R and the higher-specification Factory variant produced between 2006 and 2010. Both models share the same fundamental exhaust routing and mounting points, ensuring perfect compatibility regardless of which version you own. Whether you’re running the standard Sachs suspension or the premium Öhlins units fitted to Factory models, these exhausts integrate seamlessly with your motorcycle’s existing configuration.

For owners of other Aprilia models, Carbon Can Co Ltd manufactures exhaust systems across the entire range. Our APRILIA TUONO V4R 2011-2014 exhaust offers similar performance benefits for the next generation of TUONO motorcycles, whilst we also cater to adventure bike enthusiasts with our Aprilia 1200 Caponord 2014 2017 system.

Installation and Maintenance Considerations

When installing your new exhaust system, we recommend allowing the motorcycle’s engine to cool completely before beginning work. This prevents burns and makes removal of the existing system considerably easier. Apply penetrating oil to all exhaust fasteners the evening before installation—this simple step can save significant frustration with corroded fixings. Once fitted, check all connections after the first 50 miles of riding, as thermal cycling can occasionally cause slight settling of components.

Maintenance requirements are minimal thanks to the stainless steel construction. Periodic inspection of the exhaust strap rubbers is advisable, as these can harden over time with heat exposure. The stainless link pipes will develop a slight golden discolouration near the engine—this is entirely normal and indicates proper heat dissipation.
