When it comes to upgrading your ride with premium honda performance superbike exhausts, the Carbon Can Co Ltd exhaust system for the Honda CB600F HORNET 1998-2002 represents exceptional value and quality engineering. Designed specifically for this iconic middleweight sports bike, our exhaust system transforms both the sound and performance characteristics of your Hornet, delivering the deep, aggressive tone that every rider craves whilst maintaining full compatibility with your standard OEM downpipes.

Professional Grade Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts for the CB600F HORNET

The Honda CB600F HORNET has earned its place as one of the most beloved motorcycles in the middleweight class, combining razor-sharp handling with a rev-happy inline-four engine that delivers thrilling performance. Our exhaust system enhances these characteristics by reducing back pressure and optimising exhaust gas flow, resulting in noticeable improvements in throttle response and mid-range power delivery. This premium exhaust solution is manufactured from high-grade stainless steel 304, ensuring longevity and resistance to corrosion even in the most challenging British weather conditions.

Each exhaust kit comes complete with everything you need for a straightforward installation. You’ll receive one precision CNC mandrel bent link pipe crafted from stainless steel 304, which ensures smooth internal surfaces for optimal gas flow. The mandrel bending process is crucial as it maintains consistent pipe diameter throughout all bends, unlike crush-bent pipes which can restrict flow and reduce performance gains. The kit also includes one stainless steel exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber to ensure secure, vibration-free mounting that will stand the test of time.

Why Choose Carbon Can Co Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts?

Our exhausts are engineered with the enthusiast in mind. Whether you’re commuting through city traffic, carving through country roads, or pushing hard on track days, this exhaust system delivers consistent performance and that unmistakable superbike soundtrack. The weight reduction compared to the standard OEM system contributes to improved handling characteristics, making your Hornet feel more agile and responsive through corners. The enhanced exhaust note provides better auditory feedback, allowing you to judge engine speed more accurately during spirited riding.

Installation is designed to be straightforward, with the exhaust system fitting directly to your standard OEM downpipes without any modifications required. This means you can upgrade your bike’s performance and aesthetics without the need for specialist tools or fabrication work. The precision manufacturing ensures all mounting points align perfectly, making this a genuine bolt-on upgrade that can be completed in your own garage with basic hand tools.

Understanding the Benefits of Upgraded Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts

Upgrading your exhaust system is one of the most effective modifications you can make to your Honda CB600F HORNET. Beyond the aesthetic and acoustic improvements, a quality aftermarket exhaust can unlock hidden performance potential. The reduced back pressure allows the engine to expel exhaust gases more efficiently, which in turn can improve combustion efficiency and power output. According to Cycle World’s technical guidance on exhaust systems, properly designed aftermarket exhausts can yield measurable performance gains whilst improving the overall riding experience.

The CB600F HORNET’s inline-four engine is known for its smooth power delivery and willingness to rev, characteristics that are enhanced by our exhaust system. Riders typically report sharper throttle response, particularly in the 6,000-10,000 rpm range where the Hornet delivers its most exciting performance. The weight saving, whilst modest, contributes to improved handling dynamics and reduced unsprung mass, making the bike feel more nimble and responsive to rider input.

For those interested in exploring our full range of Honda exhaust systems, we also offer premium solutions for other popular models, including the Honda XRV750 Africa Twin 90′ – 03′, which demonstrates our expertise across Honda’s diverse model range. Each exhaust system is developed with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality that has made Carbon Can Co Ltd a trusted name among motorcycle enthusiasts.

Installation and Maintenance

The installation process for your new exhaust system is designed to be as simple as possible. Begin by ensuring your motorcycle is securely supported on a paddock stand or centre stand, and allow the exhaust system to cool completely if the bike has been recently ridden. Remove the existing exhaust by loosening the mounting hardware and carefully sliding it away from the downpipes. Clean the mounting points and connection areas to ensure a perfect seal, then fit the new link pipe to your standard downpipes, ensuring all gaskets and seals are correctly positioned.

Secure the exhaust using the included stainless steel strap and rubber mount, ensuring all fasteners are tightened to the manufacturer’s specified torque settings. It’s advisable to check all mounting hardware after the first 50-100 miles of riding, as thermal cycling can cause initial settling. Regular maintenance involves periodic inspection of mounting hardware and cleaning the stainless steel with appropriate products to maintain its appearance.

Our commitment to adhering to regulations is evident in our product design and labelling, and hence with new updates from ACEM, DVSA and DfT, we are ensuring our exhaust systems are compliant with new and upcoming legislation and regulations. Specifically, two changes detailed below:

Road Legal Exhausts: Our road legal exhausts will have the BSAU stamped markings and be crafted with non-removable baffles, aligning seamlessly with the standards set by ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers). These baffles are an integral part of our design to ensure that your motorcycle exhaust complies with road regulations, providing you with a legal and enjoyable riding experience.

Race Exhausts and Silencers:  For those seeking an exhilarating experience on the track, our race exhausts are engineered to deliver optimal performance. Clearly marked with type approval markings “Not for Road Use” etched into the side, these exhausts are specifically designed for racing applications. This distinction is in line with DVSA policy, ensuring that our race exhausts are suitable for track use, meeting the highest performance standards without compromising on safety.
