When it comes to upgrading your motorcycle’s performance and sound, triumph performance superbike exhausts from Carbon Can Co Ltd offer the perfect combination of engineering excellence and value for money. This premium exhaust system is specifically designed for the Triumph Tiger 900 2001 – 2006 model, delivering enhanced performance, reduced weight, and an aggressive exhaust note that transforms your riding experience. Whether you’re commuting through city streets or tackling winding country roads, this exhaust system represents a significant upgrade over the standard factory equipment.

Premium Components in Our Triumph Performance Superbike Exhausts

Every exhaust system we produce at Carbon Can Co Ltd is manufactured to exacting standards using high-quality materials. This particular system for the Triumph Tiger 900 2001 – 2006 includes everything you need for a straightforward installation. The package comprises one precision-engineered stainless 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipe, which ensures optimal exhaust gas flow and maximum performance gains. Unlike cheaper alternatives that use crushed bends, our mandrel bent construction maintains consistent internal diameter throughout the pipe, reducing back pressure and improving throttle response.

The kit also includes one stainless steel exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber mount, providing secure and vibration-free mounting. These components work together to ensure your new exhaust remains firmly in place whilst isolating unwanted vibrations that could cause fatigue or rattling. The stainless steel construction not only looks fantastic but also offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, ensuring your investment maintains its appearance and performance for years to come.

Why Choose Triumph Performance Superbike Exhausts for Your Tiger 900

The Triumph Tiger 900 produced between 2001 and 2006 is a versatile machine capable of handling everything from daily commutes to weekend adventures. However, the standard OEM exhaust system, whilst reliable, often leaves riders wanting more in terms of performance and sound. Our triumph performance superbike exhausts address these limitations by offering improved exhaust gas flow, reduced weight, and a more engaging exhaust note that enhances the riding experience without being antisocially loud.

One of the key advantages of this exhaust system is its direct compatibility with your standard OEM downpipes. This means you won’t need to purchase additional components or undertake complex modifications to fit this exhaust to your Tiger 900. The system is engineered to bolt straight on, making installation straightforward for anyone with basic mechanical skills and standard workshop tools. This plug-and-play design saves you time and money whilst ensuring perfect fitment every time.

Performance Benefits of Upgraded Triumph Performance Superbike Exhausts

Upgrading to our performance exhaust system delivers tangible benefits that you’ll notice immediately. The mandrel bent link pipe construction reduces exhaust back pressure, allowing your engine to breathe more efficiently. This improved gas flow can result in noticeable gains in both horsepower and torque, particularly in the mid-range where most street riding occurs. The reduced weight compared to the stock system also contributes to improved handling characteristics, with less unsprung mass affecting the bike’s dynamics.

Beyond the performance improvements, riders consistently report enhanced throttle response and a more engaging sound character. The exhaust note becomes deeper and more purposeful without crossing the line into excessive noise levels. This makes your Tiger 900 sound as good as it performs whilst remaining appropriate for all-day riding and residential areas.

Installation and Compatibility

The triumph performance superbike exhausts we supply for the Triumph Tiger 900 2001 – 2006 are designed with the end user in mind. The system fits directly to your existing standard downpipes, eliminating the need for cutting, welding, or fabrication work. This straightforward fitment means most owners can complete the installation in their own garage with basic hand tools including spanners, sockets, and perhaps some penetrating fluid for stubborn original fixings.

We recommend checking the condition of your existing downpipes before installation, as any damage or excessive corrosion should be addressed to ensure optimal performance. The stainless steel strap and rubber mount included in the kit provide secure mounting whilst allowing for the natural expansion and contraction that occurs during heat cycling. It’s advisable to check these mounting points after the first few rides and re-tighten if necessary once everything has settled into place.

For riders looking to upgrade other Triumph models, we also offer systems for the Triumph Tiger 1200 Explorer and Triumph Speed Triple 955i 2000 – 2004, ensuring we can cater to a wide range of Triumph enthusiasts.

Quality Construction and Materials

At Carbon Can Co Ltd, we never compromise on quality. Our use of 304-grade stainless steel ensures exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. This aerospace-grade material withstands the extreme temperatures and corrosive conditions that exhaust systems endure, maintaining both structural integrity and appearance over thousands of miles. The CNC mandrel bending process creates smooth, consistent internal surfaces that optimise exhaust gas flow whilst maintaining the structural strength of the tubing.

The precision manufacturing process ensures that every exhaust system meets our exacting standards before leaving our facility. Each component is individually inspected and test-fitted to guarantee perfect alignment and fitment. This attention to detail means you can purchase with confidence, knowing that your new exhaust will fit correctly first time.

Understanding Exhaust System Design and Performance

For those interested in the technical aspects of motorcycle exhaust systems, the design principles behind triumph performance superbike exhausts are fascinating. Exhaust system design is a careful balance between maximising flow, maintaining appropriate back pressure for optimal power delivery, and creating the desired sound characteristics. The mandrel bent construction used in our systems maintains consistent pipe diameter throughout all bends, which is crucial for minimising turbulence and pressure drops in the exhaust stream.

According to research from Motorcyclist Online, a well-designed aftermarket exhaust system can improve engine efficiency by reducing pumping losses and improving cylinder scavenging. These benefits translate to real-world performance improvements that riders can feel, particularly during acceleration and at higher engine speeds where exhaust flow becomes increasingly critical to performance.

Maintenance and Care

One of the advantages of stainless steel exhaust systems is their relatively low maintenance requirements. Unlike mild steel systems that require regular painting or coating to prevent rust, stainless steel naturally resists corrosion and maintains its appearance with minimal intervention. We recommend periodic cleaning with appropriate stainless steel cleaner to remove road grime and maintain the lustrous finish. Checking the mounting hardware periodically ensures everything remains secure, particularly after the initial installation period.

Should you notice any discolouration or heat staining, this is a normal characteristic of stainless steel exhaust systems and doesn’t indicate any problem. In fact, many riders appreciate the distinctive heat patina that develops over time, giving each exhaust a unique character that tells the story of miles travelled and adventures undertaken.
