When it comes to upgrading your classic Ninja, few modifications deliver the immediate impact and performance gains that premium kawasaki performance superbike exhausts can provide. The Kawasaki ZX9R B, produced between 1994 and 1997, remains a beloved machine among enthusiasts who appreciate the raw, analogue riding experience of mid-90s Japanese sportbikes. Our carefully engineered exhaust system has been specifically designed to complement this iconic model, offering both aesthetic appeal and tangible performance improvements whilst maintaining the reliability and build quality that Kawasaki riders expect.

Premium Quality Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts for the ZX9R B

This complete exhaust system for the Kawasaki ZX9R B 1994-1997 represents the pinnacle of aftermarket exhaust engineering. Each component has been precision-manufactured to deliver a perfect fit and optimal performance. The kit includes one stainless steel 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipe, one stainless exhaust strap, and one exhaust strap rubber mounting. Every element has been carefully selected to ensure durability, performance, and ease of installation.

The use of 304-grade stainless steel throughout the construction ensures exceptional corrosion resistance and longevity. This marine-grade material withstands the harshest British weather conditions, from coastal salt spray to acidic road treatments used during winter months. The CNC mandrel bending process maintains consistent internal diameter throughout all bends, eliminating the restrictions and turbulence that can occur with crush-bent pipes. This manufacturing precision translates directly into improved exhaust gas flow, reduced back pressure, and enhanced engine performance across the rev range.

Why Choose Our Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts?

The ZX9R B was a formidable machine when new, but nearly three decades of development in exhaust technology means significant improvements are now available. Our exhaust system is engineered to work seamlessly with your standard OEM downpipes, making installation straightforward without requiring expensive modifications or specialist tools. This bolt-on design philosophy means you can transform your bike’s performance and sound profile in an afternoon, without the complexity or expense of a full system replacement.

Weight reduction is another significant benefit. The stainless steel construction delivers strength without unnecessary bulk, helping to reduce unsprung mass and improve handling characteristics. Every kilogram saved from the rear of the motorcycle contributes to sharper turn-in, improved acceleration, and better overall dynamics. For track day enthusiasts or spirited road riders, these cumulative gains make a noticeable difference to the riding experience.

Installation and Compatibility of Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts

One of the most attractive features of this exhaust system is its designed compatibility with the standard OEM downpipes fitted to the Kawasaki ZX9R B from 1994 to 1997. This means you can retain your existing headers whilst upgrading the end can and link pipe section. The supplied stainless exhaust strap and high-quality rubber mounting ensure secure fitment with minimal vibration transmission. The rubber mount absorbs engine movement and road shock, preventing stress fractures and extending the service life of your exhaust system.

Installation requires only basic mechanical skills and standard tools. The precision engineering ensures proper alignment, and the included hardware means you have everything needed for a professional installation. We recommend applying copper-based anti-seize compound to all threaded connections during fitting to facilitate future removal and prevent corrosion bonding. Always allow the exhaust to cool completely before attempting any adjustment or maintenance work.

Performance Benefits and Sound Characteristics

Beyond the aesthetic improvements, riders consistently report noticeable performance gains after fitting quality kawasaki performance superbike exhausts. The reduced back pressure allows the 900cc inline-four engine to breathe more efficiently, particularly in the mid to upper rev range where the ZX9R B delivers its most exciting performance. Throttle response becomes crisper, and the engine pulls more freely towards the redline. Many riders also appreciate the weight saving, which contributes to improved handling agility and reduced unsprung mass.

The sound profile transforms significantly with an aftermarket exhaust. Gone is the muffled, restricted tone of the standard system, replaced by a deeper, more purposeful note that lets you and those around you know this is a serious performance machine. The exhaust note remains civilised at lower revs for urban riding but develops into an aggressive howl as you explore the upper reaches of the rev range. This acoustic feedback enhances the riding experience, providing better auditory cues about engine speed and load.

Carbon Can Co Ltd has built a reputation for quality across the entire Kawasaki range. Whether you’re interested in exhausts for modern machines like the Kawasaki ZX-4RR 2024 or the powerful Kawasaki Z H2 Supernaked 2020, the same engineering excellence and attention to detail applies throughout our product range.

Material Excellence and Longevity

The choice of 304-grade stainless steel represents a careful balance between cost, performance, and durability. This austenitic chromium-nickel alloy contains approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel, providing excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Unlike mild steel exhausts that rust quickly in wet conditions, 304 stainless maintains its appearance and structural integrity for years. The material is also non-magnetic and maintains its properties across a wide temperature range, making it ideal for exhaust applications where thermal cycling is constant.

Maintenance and Care

Maintaining your new exhaust system requires minimal effort. Regular cleaning with appropriate stainless steel cleaner helps maintain the lustrous finish and prevents road grime build-up. Periodically check mounting hardware for tightness, as vibration can cause fasteners to loosen over time. Inspect the rubber mounting for signs of perishing or cracking, particularly if the motorcycle is stored outdoors or in damp conditions. The stainless construction means you won’t face the constant battle against rust that plagues mild steel systems.

Frequently Asked Questions
