This exceptional aftermarket exhaust system combines precision engineering with outstanding performance gains, offering riders a perfect blend of power, sound, and style. Designed and manufactured in the UK by Carbon Can Co Ltd, this exhaust represents the pinnacle of quality craftsmanship for discerning Z800 owners who demand nothing but the best from their motorcycle upgrades.

Premium Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts Engineering

Our Kawasaki Z800 exhaust system showcases the finest materials and manufacturing processes available in the aftermarket industry. Each component is meticulously crafted from high-grade Stainless 304 steel, renowned for its exceptional durability, corrosion resistance, and ability to withstand the extreme temperatures generated by high-performance engines. The CNC mandrel bent link pipe ensures smooth, unrestricted exhaust gas flow, maximising power delivery throughout the rev range whilst maintaining optimal back pressure for strong mid-range torque.

The mandrel bending process is crucial for maintaining consistent internal diameter throughout the pipe’s curves, unlike crush-bent alternatives that can create restrictions and turbulence. This precision manufacturing technique, combined with our expert welding and finishing, ensures your Z800 benefits from improved throttle response, enhanced power output, and that distinctive exhaust note that truly brings your motorcycle to life. Every weld is inspected to aerospace standards, guaranteeing structural integrity and long-term reliability even under the most demanding riding conditions.

Complete Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts Fitting Kit

Understanding that installation ease is paramount for both professional mechanics and home enthusiasts, we supply every essential component required for a straightforward fitment. The comprehensive package includes one precision-manufactured Stainless 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipe, one high-quality stainless steel exhaust strap, and one exhaust strap rubber mount. This complete fitting solution eliminates the frustration of sourcing additional parts or making modifications to achieve proper installation.

The exhaust system is engineered to fit directly onto your standard OEM downpipes, meaning you can retain your factory headers whilst enjoying all the benefits of an upgraded rear section. This direct-fit design significantly reduces installation time and complexity, typically requiring only basic hand tools and mechanical knowledge. The stainless steel mounting hardware ensures secure attachment whilst the rubber mount provides necessary vibration isolation, protecting both the exhaust and your motorcycle’s frame from stress and fatigue.

Why Choose Our Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts?

The Kawasaki Z800, produced between 2016 and 2018, is a remarkable naked sports bike that deserves an exhaust system worthy of its performance potential. Our system delivers measurable improvements across multiple performance parameters whilst maintaining excellent build quality and longevity. The weight reduction compared to the restrictive factory system improves handling characteristics, making the bike feel more responsive and agile through corners.

Sound quality is another critical consideration for any exhaust upgrade. Our design produces a deep, purposeful tone that announces your presence without being antisocially loud or drone-inducing during motorway cruising. The acoustic character perfectly complements the Z800’s inline-four engine, accentuating its sporty nature whilst remaining refined enough for daily use. You’ll appreciate the enhanced engine note every time you open the throttle, yet conversations with pillions remain comfortable and neighbourhood-friendly cold starts won’t attract unwanted attention.

Performance gains extend beyond just peak power figures. The improved exhaust gas scavenging effect reduces pumping losses, allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently throughout its entire operating range. This translates to crisper throttle response, stronger acceleration, and potentially even modest improvements in fuel economy during steady-state cruising. Many riders report that their Z800 feels more willing to rev, with reduced mechanical resistance making the engine feel freer and more eager.

Installation and Compatibility for Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts

Our exhaust system has been specifically designed and tested for the Kawasaki Z800 models manufactured between 2016 and 2018. This generation of the Z800 features specific mounting points and pipe routing that our system accommodates perfectly. Before installation, we recommend inspecting your existing exhaust mounting points for any damage or corrosion, and replacing any worn rubber mounts to ensure optimal fitment and longevity.

The installation process typically takes between one and two hours for someone with moderate mechanical ability. You’ll need to support the motorcycle securely on a paddock stand or suitable alternative, and having a torque wrench available ensures all fasteners are tightened to manufacturer specifications. We recommend applying copper-based anti-seize compound to all threaded connections to facilitate future removal and prevent seizure from heat cycles.

For riders seeking comprehensive exhaust solutions for other Kawasaki models, Carbon Can Co Ltd offers an extensive range. Our Kawasaki Z H2 Supernaked 2020 exhaust provides similar quality engineering for that supercharged beast, whilst those with smaller capacity machines can explore options like our Kawasaki Z400 ABS 2021 system.

Material Quality and Longevity

Stainless 304 steel represents the industry standard for quality exhaust construction, offering an excellent balance of performance characteristics, durability, and cost-effectiveness. This austenitic chromium-nickel alloy contains approximately 18% chromium and 8% nickel, providing outstanding resistance to oxidation and corrosion even when exposed to moisture, road salt, and combustion by-products. Unlike mild steel systems that require regular maintenance and eventual replacement due to rust perforation, our stainless construction maintains its structural integrity and appearance for years.

The material’s ability to withstand thermal cycling without warping or cracking ensures your investment remains secure throughout countless heat-cool cycles. Stainless steel’s natural lustre can be maintained with periodic cleaning using appropriate products, or you may choose to let it develop a subtle patina that many enthusiasts find aesthetically appealing. Frequently Asked Questions About Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts

Will this exhaust require fuel mapping changes? Whilst the exhaust will function perfectly with standard fuel mapping, achieving optimal performance benefits may require ECU adjustment or fitment of a fuel controller to compensate for altered exhaust characteristics. Many riders report excellent results with stock mapping, but a professional dyno tune can maximise gains.

Is this exhaust road legal in the UK? Exhaust legality depends on sound output and emissions compliance. We recommend checking local regulations and potentially having the system tested to ensure compliance with current MOT requirements.

Can I fit this exhaust myself? Yes, the direct-fit design makes DIY installation straightforward for anyone with basic mechanical skills and appropriate tools. Detailed fitting instructions can be viewed in our YouTube video demonstration.

2024 Road legal exhaust statement:

At Max Torque Cans we prioritise safety and compliance in the world of motorcycle exhausts. Our commitment to adhering to regulations is evident in our product design and labelling, and hence with new updates from ACEM, DVSA and DfT, we are ensuring our exhaust systems are compliant with new and upcoming legislation and regulations. Specifically, two changes detailed below:

Road Legal Exhausts: Our road legal exhausts will have the BSAU stamped markings and be crafted with non-removable baffles, aligning seamlessly with the standards set by ACEM (European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers). These baffles are an integral part of our design to ensure that your motorcycle exhaust complies with road regulations, providing you with a legal and enjoyable riding experience.

Race Exhausts and Silencers:  For those seeking an exhilarating experience on the track, our race exhausts are engineered to deliver optimal performance. Clearly marked with type approval markings “Not for Road Use” etched into the side, these exhausts are specifically designed for racing applications. This distinction is in line with DVSA policy, ensuring that our race exhausts are suitable for track use, meeting the highest performance standards without compromising on safety.
