When it comes to upgrading kawasaki performance superbike exhausts, riders of the legendary H2 SE and SX models demand nothing but the finest in engineering excellence and weight-saving innovation. Carbon Can Co Ltd presents this premium stainless steel de-cat exhaust pipe and clamp system, specifically designed to work seamlessly with ZX10R titanium headers, delivering exceptional performance gains and dramatic weight reduction for your Kawasaki superbike.

Revolutionary Engineering for Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts

This meticulously crafted exhaust solution represents the pinnacle of aftermarket engineering for Kawasaki’s most celebrated high-performance motorcycles. Manufactured from premium T304 stainless steel, this CNC mandrel-bent 60mm diameter link pipe offers the perfect balance of strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. The precision manufacturing process ensures consistent internal diameter throughout the pipe, eliminating any restrictions that could hamper exhaust gas flow and ultimately rob your engine of precious horsepower.

The system is designed specifically for Kawasaki H2 SE and SX owners who wish to replace their standard heavy stainless headers and downpipes with the lighter, more performance-oriented ZX10R titanium headers. This innovative approach allows you to eliminate the cumbersome catalytic converter assembly whilst maintaining a bolt-on installation that requires absolutely no welding or permanent modifications to your prized motorcycle.

What You Will Receive with Your Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts Upgrade

Your complete package includes the following precision-engineered components:

  • One Kawasaki H2 SE and SX model de-cat exhaust pipe manufactured from T304 stainless steel
  • High-quality stainless steel clamp for secure, leak-free installation
  • CNC mandrel-bent 60mm diameter link pipe ensuring optimal flow characteristics
  • All necessary hardware for straightforward fitment

This listing provides everything required to fit Kawasaki ZX10R titanium headers to your H2 SE or SX, allowing you to remove the standard heavy headers and downpipes. The beauty of this system lies in its versatility—your rear silencer can remain completely standard or you may choose any aftermarket unit, and either option will fit exactly as before, but without the large, unsightly, heavy, and restrictive catalytic converter box and original headers weighing you down.

Dramatic Weight Savings That Transform Your Riding Experience

One of the most compelling reasons to upgrade your kawasaki performance superbike exhausts is the remarkable weight reduction achieved through this system. The standard Kawasaki catalytic converter box tips the scales at a hefty 3.9 kilograms, whilst this beautifully crafted aftermarket de-cat pipe weighs a mere 1.0 kilogram. This translates to an impressive saving of 2.9 kilograms of unnecessary weight—mass that serves no performance benefit and sits in one of the worst possible locations for handling dynamics.

Reducing unsprung and centrally-mounted weight improves your motorcycle’s power-to-weight ratio, enhances throttle response, quickens acceleration, and refines handling characteristics. Every gram saved contributes to a more agile, responsive, and engaging riding experience, particularly noticeable during aggressive cornering and rapid direction changes where mass management becomes critical.

Performance Benefits of Upgrading Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts

Beyond the significant weight reduction, this exhaust system delivers measurable performance improvements across the entire rev range. The removal of the restrictive catalytic converter allows exhaust gases to exit more freely, reducing back pressure and enabling the engine to breathe more efficiently. This improved gas flow contributes to enhanced horsepower and torque figures, particularly in the mid-range and upper rev ranges where the H2 and H2 SX truly come alive.

The mandrel-bent construction ensures smooth, consistent internal diameter throughout the pipe’s length, eliminating the crush-bent restrictions found in cheaper alternatives. This precision manufacturing technique maintains optimal flow velocity, preserving exhaust scavenging effects that help draw fresh intake charge into the combustion chamber more effectively. The result is crisper throttle response, improved engine efficiency, and a more satisfying riding experience that truly unleashes the potential of Kawasaki’s supercharged powerplant.

An important consideration for UK riders concerns MOT testing and road legality. Provided you retain a road-legal exhaust system fitted to your motorcycle, removing the catalytic converter box will still allow your bike to pass MOT inspection. This is because motorcycles are subjected to noise testing rather than emissions testing during the MOT process. However, riders should be aware that removing catalytic converters may contravene certain environmental regulations, and this product is primarily intended for track use or off-road applications where such restrictions do not apply.

For comprehensive information regarding motorcycle emissions regulations and testing procedures, the UK Government provides detailed guidance on MOT testing for motorcycles, which riders should consult to understand current legal requirements.

Installation Requirements and Technical Specifications

Installation of this exhaust system is refreshingly straightforward, requiring no welding or permanent modifications to your motorcycle. The new de-cat pipe arrives complete with a high-quality clamp that ensures secure, leak-free connection between components. The bolt-on design means riders with moderate mechanical aptitude can complete the installation in their home workshop using standard tools.

Important Note: When fitting ZX10R headers to a Kawasaki H2 SE or SX model, 5mm titanium spacers are required for the head flanges. These spacers accommodate the dimensional differences between the models and ensure proper alignment and sealing at the critical cylinder head interface. Failure to use appropriate spacers may result in exhaust leaks, poor performance, and potential damage to components.

The T304 stainless steel construction offers exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, ensuring your investment continues to perform flawlessly season after season. Unlike mild steel alternatives that quickly succumb to rust and degradation, T304 stainless maintains its structural integrity and aesthetic appeal even when exposed to the harsh conditions of British weather and road salt.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this system fit my aftermarket rear silencer?
Yes, this de-cat pipe is designed to work with both standard and aftermarket rear silencers. The connection points remain identical to the standard configuration, ensuring universal compatibility.

Do I need any special tools for installation?
No welding equipment is required. Standard workshop tools including spanners, sockets, and a torque wrench are sufficient for proper installation.

What are the 5mm titanium spacers used for?
These spacers are essential when fitting ZX10R headers to H2 SE/SX models, accommodating dimensional differences at the cylinder head flange to ensure proper sealing and alignment.

How will this affect my motorcycle’s sound?
Removing the catalytic converter typically results in a slightly deeper, more purposeful exhaust note, though the primary silencer remains the dominant factor in overall sound character.

Is this system suitable for track use?
Absolutely. This exhaust system is ideal for track applications where weight reduction and performance optimization are paramount considerations.

Upgrade your Kawasaki H2 SE or SX with this exceptional de-cat exhaust pipe and clamp system, and experience the transformation that premium engineering delivers.
