When searching for premium honda performance superbike exhausts, riders of the Honda VFR800 RC79 (2014-2020) demand exceptional quality, perfect fitment, and a significant improvement in both sound and performance. Carbon Can Co Ltd has engineered this exhaust system specifically for the VFR800 RC79 model, ensuring that every component meets the exacting standards expected by discerning motorcyclists who refuse to compromise on quality or performance.

Premium Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts for VFR800 RC79

The Honda VFR800 has long been celebrated as one of the most versatile and capable sport-touring motorcycles on the market. The RC79 generation, produced from 2014 through 2020, features Honda’s legendary V4 engine configuration that delivers smooth, linear power throughout the rev range. However, the standard OEM exhaust system, whilst functional and reliable, leaves considerable room for improvement in terms of weight reduction, exhaust note, and overall performance characteristics.

This complete exhaust system has been meticulously designed to enhance your VFR800’s capabilities whilst maintaining perfect compatibility with the original equipment manufacturer downpipes. The design philosophy centres on delivering measurable performance gains without requiring extensive modifications or permanent alterations to your motorcycle. This approach ensures that installation is straightforward, even for home mechanics with moderate experience, whilst also preserving the option to revert to standard specification should you ever wish to do so.

Complete Kit Specifications and Components

This comprehensive exhaust package for the Honda VFR800 RC79 includes everything required for a professional-standard installation. The kit comprises one precision-engineered stainless steel 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipe, which has been manufactured using advanced computer numerical control machinery to ensure absolute consistency and perfect dimensional accuracy. Mandrel bending is crucial for maintaining consistent internal diameter throughout the pipe’s curves, preventing any restriction to exhaust gas flow that would otherwise compromise performance.

Additionally, the system includes one stainless steel exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber mounting. These components are essential for secure, vibration-resistant mounting that prevents the exhaust from making contact with bodywork or other components during operation. The rubber mounting absorbs vibrations from the engine and exhaust system, reducing stress on mounting points and preventing the transmission of unwanted resonance to the chassis.

Why Choose Carbon Can Co Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts

Carbon Can Co Ltd has built a reputation for manufacturing exceptional motorcycle exhaust systems that deliver tangible benefits in real-world riding conditions. Our honda performance superbike exhausts undergo rigorous testing and quality control procedures to ensure that every system meets our exacting standards before dispatch. The use of premium-grade stainless steel 304 ensures excellent corrosion resistance, even in challenging British weather conditions where road salt and moisture can rapidly degrade inferior materials.

The mandrel bending process employed in manufacturing the link pipe is particularly significant. Unlike crush-bent pipes, which can reduce internal diameter at bend points by up to 30%, mandrel-bent pipes maintain consistent bore diameter throughout their entire length. This translates directly to improved exhaust gas flow, reduced back pressure, and enhanced engine breathing characteristics. Riders typically report improved throttle response, particularly in the mid-range where the VFR800’s V4 engine produces its most usable power.

Furthermore, the weight saving compared to the standard exhaust system contributes to improved handling dynamics. Reducing unsprung and overall mass, particularly towards the rear of the motorcycle, enhances agility and responsiveness when changing direction. This is especially noticeable during spirited riding on twisty roads where the VFR800 truly excels.

Installation and Compatibility with Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts

One of the most significant advantages of this exhaust system is its direct compatibility with the standard OEM downpipes fitted to the Honda VFR800 RC79 from 2014 to 2020. This design approach eliminates the need for expensive and time-consuming modifications, allowing for a straightforward installation process that typically requires only basic hand tools and mechanical knowledge.

The link pipe connects seamlessly to your existing downpipes, whilst the included mounting hardware ensures secure and vibration-free installation. We recommend using high-temperature copper grease on all connecting surfaces to facilitate future removal and prevent seizing, particularly important for motorcycles regularly used in adverse weather conditions.

Before commencing installation, we strongly advise consulting resources such as Motorcycle News’s guide to aftermarket exhaust fitting, which provides comprehensive advice on best practices and common pitfalls to avoid. Proper installation is crucial not only for performance but also for safety and longevity of the system.

Performance Benefits and Sound Enhancement

Beyond the aesthetic appeal and weight reduction, upgrading to performance exhaust systems delivers measurable improvements in engine characteristics. The reduced back pressure allows the engine to expel exhaust gases more efficiently, which in turn improves cylinder scavenging during the intake stroke. This enhanced breathing capability typically results in small but noticeable power gains throughout the rev range, with particular improvements in mid-range torque delivery.

The exhaust note is transformed from the somewhat muted standard tone to a more purposeful, sporty sound that better reflects the VFR800’s performance credentials. The distinctive sound of Honda’s V4 engine configuration becomes more apparent, particularly at higher RPM, whilst remaining civilised enough for everyday use and touring applications.
