When it comes to honda performance superbike exhausts, few models demand the same level of precision engineering and quality as the legendary Honda CBR929RR and CBR954RR FireBlade from 2000 to 2003. Carbon Can Co Ltd has developed a premium exhaust system specifically designed to enhance the performance, sound, and aesthetics of these iconic superbikes, offering riders a genuine upgrade that respects the FireBlade’s racing heritage whilst delivering modern performance benefits.

The Honda CBR929RR and CBR954RR FireBlade models represent a golden era of Japanese superbike engineering. These machines were developed with track performance in mind, and the exhaust system plays a crucial role in extracting maximum power from their high-revving inline-four engines. Our exhaust has been meticulously crafted to complement the standard OEM downpipes, ensuring a straightforward installation process that doesn’t require costly modifications or specialist tools. This bolt-on solution means you can upgrade your FireBlade’s exhaust system in your own garage with confidence.

Why Choose Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts from Carbon Can Co?

Our exhaust system for the CBR929RR and CBR954RR FireBlade delivers multiple advantages over the restrictive factory exhaust. First and foremost, you’ll experience a noticeable reduction in weight, which improves power-to-weight ratio and handling characteristics—essential factors for any serious rider. The free-flowing design reduces back pressure, allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently throughout the rev range. This translates to improved throttle response, enhanced mid-range punch, and a more satisfying top-end rush that FireBlade enthusiasts crave.

The exhaust features a premium 3-bolt flange fitting system, which ensures a secure, leak-free connection to your standard downpipes. Included with your purchase is one stainless steel exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber, providing everything you need for a professional installation. The stainless steel construction not only looks superb but also offers exceptional durability against the elements, resisting corrosion far better than mild steel alternatives. This means your investment will continue to look and perform brilliantly for years to come.

Installation and Fitment of Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts

One of the standout features of our honda performance superbike exhausts is the straightforward fitment process. Designed to work seamlessly with your existing OEM downpipes, this exhaust eliminates the need for complete system replacement, saving you both time and money. The 3-bolt mounting system is a tried-and-tested design that ensures proper alignment and secure fastening. Most riders with basic mechanical knowledge can complete the installation in under an hour using standard workshop tools.

The included stainless exhaust strap and rubber mounting provide additional support and vibration isolation, protecting both the exhaust and your motorcycle’s bodywork from damage. Proper installation is straightforward: simply remove your old exhaust can, clean the mounting surfaces, position the new exhaust using the supplied hardware, and torque the bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications. We recommend checking all mounting points after the first few rides to ensure everything remains secure as the system beds in.

Performance Benefits of Upgrading Your Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts

The performance gains from fitting a quality aftermarket exhaust to your CBR929RR or CBR954RR FireBlade are immediately noticeable. Reduced weight—often several kilograms lighter than the stock system—improves acceleration and makes the bike feel more nimble through corners. The improved exhaust flow reduces pumping losses, meaning the engine expends less energy pushing exhaust gases out, leaving more power available at the rear wheel.

Riders typically report sharper throttle response, particularly in the crucial 6,000-10,000 RPM range where these engines produce their most usable power. The enhanced exhaust note provides better audible feedback about engine speed and load, helping you stay connected with the machine during spirited riding. Of course, the sound itself is a major benefit—our exhaust produces a deep, purposeful tone that announces the FireBlade’s presence without being antisocially loud.

It’s worth noting that exhaust modifications can affect your motorcycle’s emissions and may have implications for MOT testing and road legality. For detailed information about UK motorcycle exhaust regulations, the UK Government’s guidance on motorcycle modifications provides authoritative advice to help you stay compliant whilst enjoying performance upgrades.

Quality Construction and Long-Term Durability

Carbon Can Co Ltd takes pride in the construction quality of our honda performance superbike exhausts. Each unit is manufactured from high-grade stainless steel, chosen for its exceptional resistance to heat, corrosion, and mechanical stress. The welds are professionally executed to aerospace standards, ensuring structural integrity even under the extreme thermal cycling that exhaust systems endure. The finish is designed to withstand British weather conditions, maintaining its appearance through countless miles of riding.

The internal construction features carefully engineered baffling that balances sound suppression with performance. Unlike cheap alternatives that simply gut the internals for maximum noise, our design maintains appropriate back pressure for optimal power delivery whilst producing a satisfying acoustic signature. This attention to detail ensures you get genuine performance improvements rather than just increased volume.

Our exhaust systems undergo rigorous testing to ensure they meet our exacting standards before reaching customers. We understand that FireBlade owners demand the best, and we’re committed to delivering products that enhance these magnificent machines without compromise. Whether you’re enjoying weekend rides through the countryside or pushing hard on track days, this exhaust system will serve you reliably.

Complete Your Honda Performance Package

Upgrading your exhaust is often the first step in a comprehensive performance enhancement programme. Many FireBlade owners combine exhaust upgrades with air filter improvements and ECU remapping to achieve optimal results. The improved breathing provided by our exhaust creates an opportunity for further tuning that can unlock additional horsepower and torque throughout the rev range.

Carbon Can Co Ltd offers exhaust solutions across Honda’s entire range, from small-capacity machines like our Honda Monkey 125cc Performance Exhaust to large-capacity superbikes. This breadth of experience ensures that every product benefits from our accumulated knowledge and engineering expertise.

We’ve created a comprehensive video demonstration showing the installation process and sound characteristics of this exhaust system, available on our YouTube channel. This visual guide provides additional confidence for those planning to install the exhaust themselves, showing each step clearly and highlighting important details that ensure a successful installation.
