When searching for premium triumph performance superbike exhausts, discerning riders of the legendary Triumph 955i Daytona (1999-2006) demand nothing less than exceptional quality, precision engineering, and a significant boost in both performance and acoustics. Our Carbon Can Co Ltd exhaust system has been meticulously designed and manufactured to deliver exactly that, transforming your iconic British superbike into an even more exhilarating machine whilst maintaining reliability and ease of installation.

Premium Triumph Performance Superbike Exhausts for the 955i Daytona

The Triumph 955i Daytona represents one of the finest chapters in British superbike heritage, combining the engineering prowess of Hinckley with the racing DNA that made Triumph a household name. This particular model, produced between 1999 and 2006, deserves an exhaust system that honours its performance credentials whilst offering measurable improvements in power delivery, weight reduction, and that unmistakable deep, purposeful note that proper performance exhausts provide.

Our exhaust system for the Triumph 955i Daytona comes as a comprehensive kit that includes everything you need for a straightforward installation. Each kit contains one stainless steel 304 CNC mandrel-bent link pipe, engineered to exacting tolerances to ensure perfect fitment with your OEM downpipes. The mandrel bending process is crucial here—unlike crush-bent alternatives, mandrel bending maintains consistent internal diameter throughout all curves and bends, ensuring unrestricted exhaust gas flow and maximising performance gains.

Additionally, the kit includes one stainless steel exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber, providing secure mounting that accommodates the natural vibration characteristics of the 955i triple engine whilst preventing unwanted movement or rattling. These components may seem minor, but they’re essential for long-term durability and maintaining the professional finish you expect from quality triumph performance superbike exhausts.

Engineering Excellence: What Sets These Triumph Performance Superbike Exhausts Apart

The choice of stainless steel 304 grade material is no accident. This austenitic chromium-nickel alloy offers exceptional corrosion resistance, crucial for British weather conditions where rain, salt, and moisture can wreak havoc on inferior materials. Unlike mild steel exhausts that quickly discolour and corrode, or cheaper stainless variants that may pit and stain, 304-grade stainless maintains its lustrous appearance season after season with minimal maintenance.

The CNC mandrel-bent construction ensures that every bend maintains the optimal internal diameter, preventing the restrictions and turbulence that rob your engine of power. When exhaust gases exit the combustion chamber, they’re travelling at tremendous velocity and temperature. Any restriction in the exhaust path creates back pressure that impedes the engine’s ability to expel spent gases efficiently, ultimately limiting power output and throttle response. Our precision-engineered link pipe eliminates these restrictions, allowing your 955i triple to breathe freely and deliver its full potential.

This exhaust system is designed to fit straight to the standard OEM downpipes, making installation remarkably straightforward for both professional mechanics and competent home enthusiasts. There’s no need for complex modifications, cutting, or welding—the system is truly bolt-on, saving you time and money whilst ensuring a factory-quality fit. This compatibility with OEM components also means you can upgrade your exhaust without compromising the integrity of your bike’s existing systems.

Performance Benefits You’ll Actually Notice

Upgrading to quality performance exhausts delivers tangible benefits that you’ll experience every time you ride. The reduced weight compared to the restrictive OEM system improves the bike’s power-to-weight ratio, enhancing acceleration and handling characteristics. The improved exhaust gas flow typically results in crisper throttle response, particularly in the mid-range where the 955i triple engine really comes alive.

The acoustic improvement is equally significant. The Triumph 955i engine produces a distinctive three-cylinder howl that’s utterly unique—neither the scream of an inline-four nor the rumble of a V-twin. Our exhaust system amplifies and refines this character, delivering a deep, purposeful note that announces your presence without being antisocially loud. It’s the perfect balance between performance and practicality, suitable for both spirited weekend rides and daily commuting.

If you’re considering exhaust upgrades for other models in your garage, we also offer premium systems for the Triumph Speed Triple 955i 2000 – 2004, which shares the same legendary triple-cylinder powerplant, as well as exhausts for adventure bikes like the Triumph Tiger 1200 Explorer.

Installation and Maintenance Considerations

Installation of this exhaust system requires only basic mechanical skills and standard tools. The link pipe connects to your existing OEM downpipes using the supplied stainless strap and rubber mounting, creating a secure, vibration-resistant connection. We recommend applying a small amount of high-temperature copper grease to all connection points during installation to prevent seizing and facilitate future maintenance.

Once fitted, the stainless steel construction requires minimal maintenance. An occasional wipe-down with a microfibre cloth will keep the finish looking pristine, and for more thorough cleaning, mild detergent and water work perfectly. Avoid abrasive cleaners or wire brushes that might scratch the surface. For additional information on motorcycle exhaust maintenance and performance upgrades, Bennetts BikeSocial offers comprehensive guidance that complements our products perfectly.
