Engineered specifically for this versatile sport-touring machine, our exhaust system combines precision manufacturing with high-grade materials to transform your riding experience both on the open road and through challenging terrain.

Premium Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts for the Versys SE KLZ1000

The Kawasaki Versys SE KLZ1000 2020 is renowned as one of the most capable adventure tourers on the market, offering a perfect blend of sporting performance and long-distance comfort. Our exhausts are designed to enhance these characteristics whilst reducing weight and improving throttle response. This complete exhaust system has been meticulously crafted to deliver measurable performance improvements without compromising the reliability and versatility that makes the Versys platform so popular amongst serious touring riders and weekend adventurers alike.

Each system comes complete with everything required for a straightforward installation. You’ll receive one stainless steel 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipe, precision-manufactured to ensure optimal exhaust gas flow and perfect fitment. The mandrel bending process maintains consistent internal diameter throughout the pipe’s curves, which is crucial for maintaining exhaust velocity and preventing restrictive turbulence that can sap power. Additionally, the kit includes one stainless steel exhaust strap and one exhaust strap rubber mounting, ensuring secure fitment that withstands the rigours of both touring and spirited riding.

Why Choose Carbon Can Co Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts

Our exhaust system is manufactured to fit directly onto the standard OEM downpipes of your Kawasaki Versys SE KLZ1000 2020, making installation remarkably straightforward even for home mechanics with moderate experience. There’s no need for expensive custom fabrication work or modifications to your motorcycle’s existing exhaust headers. This bolt-on design philosophy means you can upgrade your machine’s performance and sound profile in your own garage with basic hand tools, saving considerable labour costs compared to systems requiring professional installation.

The stainless steel 304 construction offers exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, essential for a motorcycle that’s likely to encounter varied weather conditions and road environments. Unlike mild steel exhausts that can rust and deteriorate within a season or two, our stainless steel components maintain their structural integrity and aesthetic appeal for years. The material choice also contributes to weight savings compared to the restrictive factory exhaust system, lowering your bike’s overall mass and improving handling characteristics, particularly noticeable during low-speed manoeuvring and when fully loaded for touring.

Performance Benefits of Quality Kawasaki Performance Superbike Exhausts

Installing our exhaust system on your Versys SE KLZ1000 delivers tangible performance improvements across the rev range. The optimised exhaust flow characteristics reduce backpressure, allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently. This translates to improved throttle response, particularly noticeable in the mid-range where adventure tourers spend most of their operating time. You’ll experience crisper acceleration when overtaking on A-roads and motorways, with power delivery that feels more immediate and linear.

Beyond the performance gains, the acoustic improvement is substantial. The factory exhaust on the Versys, whilst adequately quiet for commuting, lacks the character that many enthusiasts desire. Our system produces a deeper, more purposeful exhaust note that enhances the riding experience without becoming antisocially loud. It’s the perfect balance for riders who want to hear their engine working without disturbing neighbours or attracting unwanted attention from authorities.

If you’re building a comprehensive Kawasaki stable or considering upgrades for other models in your garage, Carbon Can Co offers premium exhaust solutions across the range. Our Kawasaki Z H2 Supernaked 2020 exhaust system delivers similar quality and performance gains for that supercharged hypernaked, whilst our Kawasaki ZX-4RR 2024 system caters to riders seeking screaming four-cylinder performance.

Installation and Maintenance Considerations

The straightforward installation process means most competent home mechanics can complete the fitment in under two hours. You’ll need basic socket sets, spanners, and ideally a torque wrench to ensure all fasteners are tightened to manufacturer specifications. Before beginning, ensure the motorcycle and existing exhaust system are completely cool to avoid burns. It’s advisable to apply copper-based anti-seize compound to all threaded fasteners during installation to facilitate future removal and prevent seizing.

Regular maintenance of your new exhaust system is minimal but important. Periodically check mounting hardware for tightness, particularly after the first few hundred miles when heat cycling may cause initial settling. Clean the stainless steel surfaces with appropriate motorcycle cleaning products to maintain their lustrous appearance and prevent buildup of road grime that can lead to surface staining over time.

Technical Specifications and Quality Assurance

Every component in our kawasaki performance superbike exhausts system undergoes rigorous quality control before dispatch. The stainless steel 304 material specification ensures excellent resistance to heat, corrosion, and physical stress. The CNC mandrel bending process maintains precise internal dimensions throughout all curves, something impossible to achieve with cheaper crush-bent alternatives that flatten pipe sections and restrict flow.

The included mounting hardware is manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring proper alignment and secure fitment. The exhaust strap rubber component is specifically selected for its heat resistance and durability, maintaining its damping properties even after extended exposure to exhaust temperatures and environmental factors.
