When searching for premium honda performance superbike exhausts, riders of the legendary Honda VTR1000 Firestorm SC36 Superhawk demand quality engineering that matches their machine’s iconic reputation. Carbon Can Co Ltd presents a meticulously crafted exhaust system designed specifically for the 1997-2005 model years, delivering exceptional performance gains, dramatic weight reduction, and that unmistakable aggressive exhaust note that turns heads on every ride.

The Honda VTR1000 Firestorm has earned its place in motorcycling history as one of the most thrilling V-twin superbikes ever produced. Whether you know it as the Firestorm in European markets or the SuperHawk in North America, this remarkable machine deserves an exhaust system that complements its sporting character whilst maintaining reliability and build quality. Our exhaust system achieves precisely that balance, providing riders with a direct-fit solution that transforms both the aesthetic appeal and performance characteristics of this beloved motorcycle.

Premium Components for Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts

This comprehensive exhaust kit arrives complete with everything required for a straightforward installation. Each system includes two precision-engineered stainless steel 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipes, manufactured to exacting tolerances that ensure perfect fitment to your standard OEM downpipes. The mandrel bending process maintains consistent internal diameter throughout each bend, eliminating the flow restrictions commonly found in crush-bent alternatives and maximising exhaust gas velocity for improved throttle response and power delivery.

Understanding that secure mounting is essential for longevity and performance, we supply two stainless steel exhaust straps alongside two high-quality exhaust strap rubbers. These mounting components provide the perfect balance between rigid support and vibration isolation, protecting your investment whilst ensuring the exhaust system remains securely positioned even during spirited riding. The stainless steel construction guarantees corrosion resistance and maintains appearance even after extended exposure to the elements.

Engineering Excellence in Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts

Our design philosophy centres on delivering measurable performance improvements without compromising reliability or requiring extensive modifications. This exhaust system fits directly to your existing standard OEM downpipes, eliminating the need for specialised tools or professional installation services. The bolt-on design means most competent home mechanics can complete the installation within a couple of hours using basic hand tools, though we always recommend consulting your workshop manual and observing proper safety procedures.

The selection of 304-grade stainless steel represents a deliberate choice for optimal durability and performance. This austenitic stainless steel alloy offers superior resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion compared to mild steel alternatives, ensuring your exhaust system maintains both structural integrity and visual appeal throughout years of service. The material’s excellent heat dissipation properties also contribute to improved performance by managing exhaust gas temperatures more effectively than lesser materials.

Riders upgrading to our system frequently report noticeable improvements in mid-range power delivery and throttle response. The optimised flow characteristics reduce back pressure whilst maintaining appropriate exhaust gas velocity, allowing the VTR1000’s legendary 996cc V-twin engine to breathe more freely. This translates to crisper acceleration, particularly in the critical 4,000-8,000 rpm range where the Firestorm delivers its most exciting performance.

Why Choose These Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts?

Carbon Can Co Ltd has established a reputation for manufacturing exhaust systems that perfectly balance performance, quality, and value. Our VTR1000 system exemplifies this commitment through several key advantages. The significant weight reduction compared to the original equipment exhaust improves the motorcycle’s power-to-weight ratio and handling characteristics, particularly noticeable during aggressive cornering and rapid direction changes. The reduced unsprung mass contributes to improved suspension performance and rider confidence.

Sound quality represents another crucial consideration for many riders. Our exhaust system produces a deep, purposeful V-twin rumble that announces your presence without becoming antisocially loud or drone-inducing during long-distance riding. The acoustic character remains true to the Firestorm’s sporting heritage whilst providing a more engaging auditory experience than the restrictive standard system.

For those interested in exploring our complete range of performance exhaust systems, we also manufacture premium options for other Honda models, including the Honda XRV750 Africa Twin 90′ – 03′, demonstrating our expertise across Honda’s diverse motorcycle lineup.

Installation and Compatibility for Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts

This exhaust system is specifically engineered for Honda VTR1000 Firestorm SC36 SuperHawk motorcycles manufactured between 1997 and 2005. Before purchasing, please verify your motorcycle’s model year and variant to ensure perfect compatibility. The system integrates seamlessly with standard OEM downpipes, preserving the original mounting points and connection interfaces.

During installation, we recommend inspecting all mounting points and replacing any worn or damaged rubber components on your motorcycle. Apply appropriate high-temperature assembly paste to threaded connections to prevent seizing and facilitate future maintenance. After installation, allow the exhaust to complete several heat cycles before making final adjustments to mounting hardware, as thermal expansion may cause minor settling.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our VTR1000 Exhaust System

Will this exhaust require fuel system modifications?
