If you’re searching for premium ducati performance superbike exhausts that deliver exceptional quality, unmistakable sound, and outstanding craftsmanship, the Carbon Can Co exhaust system for the DUCATI 916-748 1994-1999 represents the perfect upgrade for your iconic Italian superbike. Engineered specifically for these legendary Ducati models, our exhaust system combines race-bred performance with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring your 916 or 748 not only sounds magnificent but also benefits from improved exhaust flow and reduced weight.

Why Choose Carbon Can Co Ducati Performance Superbike Exhausts for Your 916-748

The Ducati 916 and 748 series are widely regarded as some of the most beautiful and successful superbikes ever produced, with their distinctive Massimo Tamburini styling and formidable racing pedigree. These motorcycles deserve an exhaust system that matches their engineering excellence, and that’s precisely what Carbon Can Co delivers. Our exhaust system has been precision-engineered to complement the existing architecture of your Ducati whilst enhancing both aesthetics and performance.

Each exhaust system comes complete with everything you need for a straightforward installation. The comprehensive kit includes two stainless steel 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipes, which are manufactured to exacting tolerances ensuring perfect fitment every time. The mandrel bending process is crucial because it maintains consistent internal diameter throughout the bends, eliminating restrictions and allowing exhaust gases to flow freely. This results in improved throttle response and a noticeable increase in mid-range power delivery.

Additionally, the kit includes two stainless steel exhaust straps and two exhaust strap rubbers, providing secure mounting whilst isolating vibration effectively. This exhaust system is designed to fit directly to your standard OEM downpipes, meaning there’s no need for expensive modifications or additional components. The bolt-on installation makes this upgrade accessible to home mechanics whilst still delivering professional results.

Premium Materials and Construction in Ducati Performance Superbike Exhausts

Quality begins with material selection, and we use only premium grade 304 stainless steel throughout our exhaust systems. This austenitic stainless steel offers exceptional corrosion resistance, ensuring your investment remains in pristine condition despite exposure to British weather conditions, road salt, and the harsh thermal cycling that exhaust components endure. Unlike mild steel alternatives that quickly rust and deteriorate, 304 stainless steel maintains its structural integrity and appearance for years to come.

The CNC mandrel bending process we employ represents the gold standard in exhaust fabrication. Conventional crush bending can reduce internal diameter by up to 30% at bend points, creating significant flow restrictions. Our mandrel bent pipes maintain consistent bore diameter throughout, maximising exhaust gas velocity and scavenging efficiency. This translates directly into improved engine performance, with many riders reporting crisper throttle response and enhanced power delivery across the rev range.

If you’re also working on other Ducati models in your collection, you might be interested in our Ducati 900SS 1988 – 2007 exhaust system, which shares the same commitment to quality and performance.

Sound Quality That Defines Ducati Performance Superbike Exhausts

One of the most distinctive characteristics of any Ducati is its inimitable exhaust note – that deep, resonant L-twin rumble that announces your arrival long before you’re visible. Our exhaust system has been acoustically tuned to enhance this signature Ducati sound without becoming antisocially loud. The result is a rich, purposeful tone that satisfies at idle, builds to an intoxicating crescendo at higher RPM, yet remains civilised enough for everyday riding and complies with UK noise regulations.

You can experience the sound quality firsthand by watching our demonstration video on YouTube, where you’ll hear exactly how this exhaust transforms your 916 or 748. The video showcases cold starts, idle characteristics, and full-throttle acceleration runs, giving you a comprehensive understanding of what to expect once fitted to your motorcycle.

Installation and Fitment for Your Ducati Performance Superbike Exhausts

We understand that even the finest exhaust system is only as good as its fitment, which is why every Carbon Can Co exhaust undergoes rigorous quality control checks before dispatch. The link pipes are precisely engineered to align perfectly with your standard OEM downpipes, ensuring leak-free seals and hassle-free installation. The included stainless steel mounting straps provide secure, vibration-resistant mounting, whilst the rubber isolators protect against metal-to-metal contact that could cause unwanted noise or wear.

For enthusiasts maintaining multiple Ducati models, our range extends across various platforms. The Ducati 750SS 1991 – 2002 system offers similar quality and performance characteristics, demonstrating our commitment to serving the broader Ducati community.

Installation typically takes between one to two hours for home mechanics with basic tools and mechanical aptitude. If you prefer professional installation, any competent motorcycle workshop will find the process straightforward. Performance Benefits and Weight Savings

Beyond the aesthetic and acoustic improvements, this exhaust system delivers tangible performance benefits. The optimised flow characteristics reduce back pressure, allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently throughout the rev range. Riders typically notice improved throttle response, particularly in the mid-range where the Ducati L-twin engine produces its most usable power. The weight savings compared to original equipment also contribute to improved handling dynamics, with reduced unsprung mass enhancing suspension performance and steering precision.
