Upgrade your classic Italian twin with our premium ducati performance superbike exhausts, specifically engineered for the iconic Ducati 750SS spanning the 1991 to 2002 production years. These meticulously crafted exhaust systems represent the perfect fusion of traditional Italian motorcycle heritage and modern performance engineering, delivering exceptional sound quality, improved power delivery, and distinctive styling that complements the timeless lines of your Ducati 750 SuperSport.

The Ducati 750SS remains one of the most beloved models in Ducati’s storied history, combining the raw character of a traditional L-twin engine with the accessibility and practicality that made it a favourite among enthusiasts worldwide. Our exhaust system has been designed to enhance every aspect of this remarkable motorcycle’s performance whilst maintaining absolute reliability and ease of installation.

Premium Components for Ducati Performance Superbike Exhausts

Each exhaust system is supplied as a comprehensive fitting kit that includes everything required for a straightforward installation. You’ll receive two precision-engineered stainless steel 304 CNC mandrel bent link pipes, manufactured to exacting tolerances that ensure perfect alignment with your motorcycle’s original equipment manufacturer downpipes. The mandrel bending process is crucial here – unlike crush-bent alternatives, mandrel bending maintains consistent internal diameter throughout each curve, eliminating restrictions that could impede exhaust gas flow and compromise performance gains.

The kit also includes two stainless steel exhaust straps and two high-quality exhaust strap rubbers. These components might seem minor, but they play a vital role in securing your new exhaust system whilst allowing the necessary thermal expansion and contraction that occurs during normal operation. The rubber mountings also help to isolate vibration, reducing the transmission of noise and mechanical stress to the motorcycle’s frame and bodywork.

Direct Fitment to Standard OEM Downpipes

One of the most significant advantages of these ducati performance superbike exhausts is their direct compatibility with your Ducati 750SS’s standard OEM downpipes. This design philosophy means you won’t need to source additional adapters, make modifications to your motorcycle’s original pipework, or undertake complex fabrication work. The system has been designed from the outset to integrate seamlessly with the factory exhaust headers, making installation straightforward even for home mechanics with basic workshop facilities.

This plug-and-play approach not only saves time and reduces installation costs but also means you can easily revert to the original exhaust configuration should you ever need to do so. Whether you’re looking to comply with specific noise regulations for trackday events or simply want the flexibility to swap between systems, maintaining compatibility with OEM components provides invaluable versatility.

Enhanced Performance Characteristics with Ducati Performance Superbike Exhausts

Beyond the aesthetic improvements and distinctive exhaust note, our ducati performance superbike exhausts deliver measurable performance benefits across the rev range. The optimised internal geometry and unrestricted flow path reduce back pressure, allowing the 748cc Desmodromic L-twin engine to breathe more efficiently. This translates to improved throttle response, particularly in the mid-range where the 750SS spends most of its time during spirited road riding.

The reduced weight compared to the original factory silencers also contributes to improved handling characteristics by lowering the overall mass and potentially improving weight distribution. Every kilogram saved on a motorcycle represents an opportunity to enhance agility, braking performance, and acceleration.

Superior Construction Standards

We utilise only premium-grade stainless steel 304 throughout the construction of these exhaust systems. This austenitic chromium-nickel alloy offers exceptional corrosion resistance, ensuring your investment remains in pristine condition even when subjected to the harsh environmental conditions typical of British motorcycling – salt-laden winter roads, persistent moisture, and dramatic temperature variations. According to Lenntech’s technical specifications, stainless steel 304 provides outstanding durability in demanding applications, making it the ideal material choice for high-performance motorcycle exhausts.

The mandrel bending process deserves particular attention. Unlike conventional bending methods that can create internal ripples and diameter variations, CNC mandrel bending maintains perfectly smooth internal surfaces and consistent cross-sections throughout every curve. This precision manufacturing approach ensures optimal exhaust gas velocity and scavenging characteristics, contributing directly to the performance improvements you’ll experience.

Perfect Compatibility Across the Ducati Range

If you’re fortunate enough to own multiple Ducati motorcycles from this era, you’ll be pleased to know that Carbon Can Co offers compatible exhaust systems across the range. Our Ducati 900SS 1988 – 2007 exhaust system shares the same engineering philosophy and quality standards, whilst the DUCATI ST4 1999 – 2005 system demonstrates our commitment to supporting Ducati’s sport-touring models with equally impressive performance upgrades.

Installation Guidance and Support

Whilst the direct-fit nature of these ducati performance superbike exhausts makes installation relatively straightforward, we recommend following proper procedures to ensure optimal results. Always allow the engine to cool completely before commencing work, and support the motorcycle securely on a paddock stand or suitable alternative. The exhaust system should be installed with mounting hardware left slightly loose initially, allowing you to align all components perfectly before final tightening to the specified torque settings.

After installation, it’s essential to check all connections after the first few heat cycles, as thermal expansion may cause slight settling of components. A quick visual inspection and gentle tightening of any connections that may have relaxed will ensure long-term reliability.

Frequently Asked Questions About Ducati Performance Superbike Exhausts

Will this exhaust require remapping or fuelling changes? Whilst the exhaust will function perfectly with standard fuelling, optimising the air-fuel mixture with appropriate mapping adjustments can maximise the performance benefits. Consult with a qualified Ducati specialist or dyno tuning facility for best results.

Is this exhaust road legal in the UK? Exhaust legality depends on noise output and emissions compliance. We recommend checking current regulations and potentially having noise testing conducted if you intend to use the motorcycle on public roads.

What maintenance does stainless steel require? Stainless steel 304 requires minimal maintenance. Occasional cleaning with appropriate stainless steel cleaner will maintain appearance, and periodic inspection of mounting points ensures continued security.

Will this fit left-hand-drive models? Yes, the exhaust system is compatible with all Ducati 750SS models produced between 1991 and 2002, regardless of market destination.

Materials

Our Exhausts are internally constructed in stainless steel and the outer sleeve can be made in stainless steel, titanium or carbon fiber. CARBON CAN COMPANY ONLY uses the best grade materials.

Polished Stainless Steel – Grade T304 + T409 (a single slip-on exhaust normally weighs 1.9 kilos).
Satin Stainless Steel – Grade T304 + T409 (a single slip-on exhaust normally weighs 1.9 kilos).
Titanium – Grade 2 + 3 mill finish (a single slip-on exhaust normally weighs 1.7 kilos).
Carbon Fibre – 4 x 4 twill prepreg autoclave cured, foiled lined (a single slip-on exhaust normally weighs 1.2 kilos).

Our coloured exhausts have stainless steel sleeves that are painted prior to assembly. The item is electrostatically coated with high-grade polyester powder and cured at 200º-220º deg C giving a durable, smooth and U.V. resistant finish with excellent colour retention.
