Installation and Compatibility of Your Brake Lever Kawasaki

Installing this brake lever kawasaki replacement is straightforward for anyone with basic mechanical skills. Before installation, it’s advisable to inspect your entire brake system, including the master cylinder, brake lines, and calliper, to ensure everything is in good working order.

When replacing your brake lever, always check that the lever moves freely without binding and that it returns to the fully extended position when released. This ensures your brake light switch functions correctly and that you have full braking power available. The Vicma 70022 is precision-engineered to provide the correct geometry and lever ratio, giving you the same braking feel as the original equipment.

Maintenance Tips for Your Brake Lever Kawasaki Components

To keep your brake lever operating smoothly, regular maintenance is essential. Apply a small amount of suitable lubricant to the pivot point every few months to prevent wear and ensure smooth movement. Inspect the lever regularly for cracks, bends, or excessive wear, particularly if you’ve had a minor drop or accident. Even small damage can compromise the lever’s integrity and should be addressed immediately.

According to the Motorcycle.com maintenance guide, regular inspection of control levers is a critical part of pre-ride safety checks. Clean your brake lever periodically with mild soap and water to remove road grime, salt, and other contaminants that can accelerate wear. Pay particular attention to the pivot area where dirt can accumulate and cause stiffness or binding.

Understanding Brake Lever Quality and Safety Standards

Not all aftermarket brake levers are created equal. The Vicma brand has built its reputation on producing components that meet or exceed OEM standards, and this brake lever kawasaki model is no exception. Quality brake levers are manufactured from materials that provide the right balance of strength and flexibility – strong enough to transmit full braking force without bending, yet with enough give to prevent snapping in the event of an impact.

The 70022 lever undergoes rigorous quality control testing to ensure it meets safety standards for motorcycle components. This includes stress testing, dimensional accuracy verification, and finish quality inspection. When you purchase genuine Vicma parts from Carbon Can Co Ltd, you can be confident you’re receiving a component that will perform reliably when you need it most.
