When searching for benelli performance superbike exhausts, riders of the Benelli BN125 demand quality, performance, and reliability—and this British-made T304 stainless steel de-cat down-pipe header and exhaust system delivers on all fronts. Manufactured right here in the UK by Carbon Can Co Ltd, this premium exhaust upgrade transforms your Benelli BN125 into a lighter, more responsive machine whilst maintaining the perfect balance between performance and practicality.

Premium British Engineering for Benelli Performance Superbike Exhausts

This complete exhaust system represents the pinnacle of British engineering excellence. Crafted from high-grade T304 stainless steel, the material choice ensures exceptional corrosion resistance and longevity—critical factors for UK riding conditions where our roads face everything from salt spray to heavy rain. Unlike cheaper alternatives manufactured overseas, this system is designed specifically for the Benelli BN125, guaranteeing an exact OEM fitment that requires no modifications or fabrication work.

The front pipe and header assembly replaces your restrictive standard catalytic converter assembly, significantly improving exhaust gas flow dynamics. By removing the factory cat box, which is designed primarily to meet emissions regulations rather than optimise performance, you’ll unlock measurable power gains throughout the rev range. The engineering team has carefully calculated tube diameters and bend radii to eliminate back pressure whilst maintaining optimal exhaust gas velocity—essential for strong mid-range torque delivery that makes real-world riding more enjoyable.

Dramatic Weight Savings That Transform Handling

One of the most impressive features of this upgrade is the remarkable weight reduction achieved. The standard Benelli BN125 downpipe weighs a hefty 7 kilograms, whilst our complete downpipe and silencer combination tips the scales at just 3 kilograms—an outstanding 4-kilogram saving. For a lightweight motorcycle like the BN125, removing 4kg from the exhaust system has tangible benefits for handling, acceleration, and overall agility. You’ll notice sharper turn-in, reduced inertia when changing direction, and an improved power-to-weight ratio that makes the bike feel considerably more energetic.

Complete Package: Everything You Need for Installation

Understanding what’s included in your purchase is important. This comprehensive kit provides everything required for a successful installation. The T304 stainless steel front pipe and header perfectly replicate the mounting points and geometry of the standard system, ensuring straightforward fitment. Crucially, the system comes complete with an O2 lambda sensor boss, allowing you to refit your standard OEM sensor—maintaining proper engine management functionality and preventing warning lights on your dashboard.

Additionally, you’ll receive a free removable DB killer (baffle), giving you the flexibility to adjust sound levels according to your preference or local noise regulations. The downpipe is designed to connect seamlessly with a rear silencer of your choice, offering customisation options to suit your aesthetic preferences and sound requirements. For installation, we recommend using a normal silicone-based exhaust sealant instead of the factory gasket to create a completely gas-tight seal that withstands thermal cycling and vibration.

Why Benelli Performance Superbike Exhausts Matter for Your BN125

Upgrading your exhaust system isn’t merely about aesthetics or sound—though those benefits are certainly welcome. The primary advantage lies in improved engine breathing. Factory exhaust systems are engineered to meet strict emissions regulations and cost targets, often sacrificing performance potential. By installing this de-cat system, you remove a significant restriction in the exhaust path, allowing spent gases to exit more efficiently. This reduction in back pressure enables the engine to expel exhaust gases more completely during the exhaust stroke, improving volumetric efficiency and allowing fresh intake charge to fill the combustion chamber more effectively.

The result is noticeable power gains across the rev range, with particular improvements in throttle response and top-end performance. Importantly, our exhausts are manufactured to deliver maximum power without requiring fueling modifications for a standard engine configuration. However, if you’ve installed an aftermarket air filter or additional performance modifications, having your bike’s fueling professionally mapped will always complement the engine performance and efficiency gains, ensuring optimal air-fuel ratios throughout the operating range.

British Manufacturing Excellence in Benelli Performance Superbike Exhausts

There’s considerable pride in offering a genuinely British-made product in today’s global marketplace. Each system is manufactured to exacting standards using precision TIG welding techniques and computer-aided design. The T304 grade stainless steel offers superior characteristics compared to the T201 or T301 grades often used in budget exhausts—it contains higher nickel content, providing enhanced corrosion resistance and better high-temperature properties. This means your investment will maintain its appearance and structural integrity for years to come, even when faced with Britain’s challenging weather conditions.

The manufacturing process involves careful attention to detail at every stage. Mandrel bending ensures consistent tube diameter throughout bends, preventing turbulence and maintaining smooth gas flow. Welds are ground smooth and polished, eliminating sharp edges that could create drag or turbulence. Flanges and mounting points are precisely positioned to align perfectly with OEM mounting locations, ensuring stress-free installation and preventing exhaust leaks or cracking over time.

For riders interested in similar performance upgrades for other motorcycles, Carbon Can Co Ltd offers extensive expertise across multiple manufacturers. Our Kawasaki ZR900RS Cafe 2022 Stainless De-cat exhaust pipe demonstrates our commitment to precision engineering across different platforms, whilst our range continues to expand based on customer demand and market requirements.

Installation Considerations and Practical Advice

Installing this exhaust system is straightforward for anyone with basic mechanical aptitude and appropriate tools. The system bolts directly in place of your standard equipment, using existing mounting points and requiring no modifications to your motorcycle. We recommend applying copper-based anti-seize compound to all fasteners during installation to prevent seizure and facilitate future removal. Torque all fasteners to manufacturer specifications, working in a cross-pattern on multi-bolt flanges to ensure even clamping pressure and prevent leaks.

After installation, it’s normal to notice some discolouration of the stainless steel during the first few heat cycles—this is simply the material reaching operating temperature and forming a protective oxide layer. Regular cleaning with appropriate stainless steel cleaners will maintain the appearance. For comprehensive information about exhaust system maintenance and motorcycle performance modifications, the UK Government’s vehicle type approval guidance provides valuable regulatory context for modified vehicles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this exhaust pass an MOT test?
Removing the catalytic converter may affect emissions compliance. We recommend checking current MOT requirements and local regulations before installation. Some riders maintain their standard system for testing purposes.

Do I need to remap my ECU after installing this system?
For a standard engine with no other modifications, remapping typically isn’t essential. However, if you’ve installed an aftermarket air filter or made other performance modifications, professional fueling adjustment will optimise performance and efficiency.

What silencer options are compatible?
This downpipe is designed to accept most slip-on silencers with standard 51mm inlet diameter. Contact us for specific compatibility questions regarding your preferred silencer choice.

How difficult is installation?
Most competent home mechanics can complete installation within 1-2 hours using basic hand tools. The system requires no welding, cutting, or permanent modifications to your motorcycle.
