When it comes to enhancing your machine with premium honda performance superbike exhausts, the Carbon Can Co Ltd system designed specifically for the Honda VTR1000 SP2 RC51 RVT1000R represents the pinnacle of engineering excellence and performance optimisation. Manufactured for models from 2002 onwards, this exhaust system delivers the perfect combination of weight reduction, improved throttle response, and that unmistakable race-bred sound that Honda’s iconic V-twin deserves.

Premium Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts for the VTR1000 SP2

The Honda VTR1000 SP2, also known as the RC51 or RVT1000R, stands as one of Honda’s most celebrated superbike achievements. This machine dominated World Superbike racing and captured the hearts of enthusiasts worldwide with its characterful 90-degree V-twin engine and stunning handling. To truly unlock the potential of this legendary motorcycle, a high-quality aftermarket exhaust system is essential, and our Carbon Can Co Ltd solution delivers exactly that.

Our exhaust system has been meticulously designed and tested to ensure perfect fitment and optimal performance gains. Each kit includes everything you need for a straightforward installation: two CNC mandrel-bent link pipes manufactured from premium 304-grade stainless steel, two stainless steel exhaust straps, and two exhaust strap rubbers. The system is engineered to fit directly onto your standard OEM downpipes, eliminating the need for expensive modifications or additional components.

Engineering Excellence in Honda Performance Superbike Exhausts

The use of 304-grade stainless steel throughout our exhaust construction ensures exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. Unlike lesser materials, 304 stainless steel maintains its appearance and structural integrity even when exposed to extreme heat cycles and harsh weather conditions. The CNC mandrel-bent link pipes represent a significant advancement over crush-bent alternatives, as mandrel bending maintains consistent internal diameter throughout each bend, ensuring unrestricted exhaust gas flow and maximising performance gains.

This precision engineering translates directly into measurable performance improvements. By reducing back pressure and optimising exhaust gas velocity, riders typically experience enhanced throttle response, improved mid-range power delivery, and noticeable gains in top-end performance. The weight saving compared to the standard exhaust system also contributes to improved handling characteristics, allowing the VTR1000 SP2 to change direction more readily and respond more eagerly to rider input.

The attention to detail extends to the mounting hardware, with purpose-designed exhaust straps and high-quality rubber mounts that effectively isolate vibration whilst maintaining secure fitment. This ensures your exhaust system remains perfectly positioned even during aggressive riding or track day sessions.

For more information about motorcycle exhaust systems and maintenance, the Motorcycle News website offers excellent guides and resources.

Our range extends well beyond the VTR1000 SP2, with systems available for numerous Honda models. Whether you’re looking to upgrade a smaller capacity machine like the Honda Monkey 125cc Performance Road-Legal/Race Exhaust Muffler & System or seeking solutions for adventure bikes such as the Honda XRV750 Africa Twin, we have the expertise and product range to meet your needs.

Performance Benefits and Sound Characteristics

Beyond the measurable performance improvements, one of the most immediately noticeable enhancements when fitting honda performance superbike exhausts is the transformation in exhaust note. The VTR1000 SP2’s 90-degree V-twin engine produces a distinctive soundtrack, and our exhaust system amplifies this character beautifully. You’ll experience a deeper, more purposeful tone that perfectly complements the bike’s racing heritage whilst remaining civilised enough for road use.

The improved exhaust gas flow also contributes to enhanced engine efficiency, potentially offering modest improvements in fuel consumption during steady-state cruising, though enthusiastic riding will naturally prioritise performance over economy. The reduction in weight—particularly unsprung weight—contributes to improved suspension performance, allowing your shock absorbers to work more effectively over varied road surfaces.

Installation and Compatibility Information

This exhaust system is specifically designed for Honda VTR1000 SP2 RC51 RVT1000R models manufactured from 2002 onwards. The direct-fit design means it connects seamlessly to your existing OEM downpipes without requiring any modifications to your motorcycle. All necessary mounting hardware is included in the package, ensuring you have everything required for a professional installation.

Before installation, we recommend inspecting your existing downpipes for any signs of damage or excessive corrosion, as the performance of your new exhaust system depends on the entire exhaust pathway being in good condition. Ensure all mounting points on your motorcycle frame are clean and free from corrosion, and always replace exhaust gaskets when removing and refitting exhaust components to prevent leaks.

Frequently Asked Questions
